  1. Past hour
  2. Waiting for my flight home so quick recap. Played WeKoPa Saguaro twice, I was there for an event btw would have played somewhere else. The course as usual was very solid, but there was this creeping grass that was impossible to hit off of. Staff oddly enough not as friendly as I remember. Onto Quintero and I could write a 5 paragraph on this for what was wrong but just didn't enjoy it. I could have found a different course but played with guys on the trip but was out least favorite. One guy played Whirlwind and enjoyed it way more. Southern Dunes, this was our winner. Staff was awesome, course was nice it was challenging but not impossible. We played it from the Gold tees and had a good time. Definitely would go back and lucked out with the mosquitoes and saw no rattlers despite a lot of warnings. I may be back again in the fall, have to see closer to that date but would look into playing some others like Ambiente, Whirlwind, Verado, etc. To kinda get most of the well known ones in. Also @hackeraz i couldn't get to Rinaldi's but had some burritos from some other places that were on point.
  3. wilson staff wedges are forged - old models are cheap - and they are really good wedges
  4. Has anyone from the UK ordered one and if so, what was the wait time? They’re quoting 5-6 weeks and after 1.5 weeks I’m already fed up of waiting 🤣
  5. Got some Ben Hogan Apex Grind irons for a twenty. I grew up with these so it brings back a lot of memories.
  6. Quintero place was wet, bunkers were mud and greens sanded so nothing else and quicker than glass. Southern Dunes was great overall, a few brown/yellow spots in the fairway but rolled well, bunkers not bad, greens were awesome. Wekopa Saguaro was solid overall as well.
  7. If that 4* driver fits you well, you'll probably need a smaller driver head that's stamped 8.5-9.5* to get a decent gap between them. Any higher loft than that and you're likely to hit it too high
  8. Is the material similar to the odyssey 2 ball putter, hard plastic? Are you going to glue it or screw on?
  9. I asked LAB. if it weighs less than 10grams, it won't mess up lie angle balance....
  10. In my opinion, MOI is overrated for irons. A longer "C-dimension" or horizontal COG contributes more to making an iron easier to hit than a higher MOI does. It sounds like the designs with lower AVCOG's don't fit you as well, so you just need to try something a little higher,.... but not too high, as in near the center of the ball or higher, which will generally make an iron more difficult to hit in the vertical aspect of impact. The MMB irons have a C-dimension at 1.391". The Ke4 Max are at 1.659", which is as long as you will find for that profile and face length. In other words, they have a lot of area to work with across the face....and they have an AVCOG at .758", which is "mid" within the optimal zone below the center of the ball and not likely to be too low. I'd try the Max first. Then go from there
  11. Class act...sad to see her retire. I believe Amy is a biz grad with a major in accounting. Maybe she'll obtain her CPA designation in her next career if she decides to return to the workforce. Or maybe a golf instructor.
  12. hows the autoflex in the driving iron? does it go further?
  13. Neither sit closed, and I don't like things that sit closed either, even if I override it at address.
  14. Some men are real a******.....there are zero reasons why you or you and your female golfing partners are not allowed to play through a slower group. Are there no marshalls to step in? Have you not talked with your HP about this? Many women....especially club members are very fast golfers...I have witnessed this many times and/or haved golfed with them.
  15. If picking means barely avoiding fat hits, check out the Mizzy Hot Metal Pros. Their sole isn’t super thin, but just wants to glide through without digging.
  16. I fantasize about being Scottie. A level of consistency I can't even dream of. Fantasize even more about being Nelly. OMG, that swing. That beautiful, technically perfect, repeatable swing. (With the left arm slightly bent, totally something I do). I love watching professional golf right now. These people are hitting a level I never could have imagined.
  17. Keep me updated please! Does the R510 TP set up more open then the Cleveland? One thing I hate about not having the adjustable hosels on these is to not be able to open the face up on anything closed.
  18. Well, please note I didn't say he should have taken all their money and ran... But he should have had the foresight to take their calls and had discussions. That's his job - and its why he makes 15-20mm a year. I've read all the reporting I can find on this aspect of the LIV / PGAT stuff, as its the part I find the most interesting, and from all accounts he refused to talk to the Saudi's. Re: DP World Tour cash injection - correct me if I am wrong, but instead of talking to the Saudi's, didn't the PGA Tour make a strategic alliance with the DP Tour in 2020 - with the idea that it was fighting off another avenue that the PIF could take? Speculation of course as to the reason why... but they injected more money into it in 2022 as a result of LIV. 8% return on 700B is 56B a year. Not a tough return, especially with the yield curve today. They can pay for Neom with 9 yrs of returns - without taking into account compounding. Here's the thing that most sad to me. It was a real opportunity to control the narrative around this, and inject money downstream into golf. It is not easy to be a professional golfer unless you are one of the top 300ish players in the world. Sure, the top guys should be getting more money - and now they are, both on the PGAT and LIV, but the real opportunity was to inject money into the sport down the ranks. You can be the 5,000th best basketball player in the world and make a nice living. You can go be a bullpen guy in MEXICO and make 100k tax free. Golf also has a unique opportunity as women sports are getting more airtime for societal reasons, and golf is one of the only three women's sports (tennis, golf and UFC) that people actually watch. There was/is a lot of strategic opportunity to reshape the professional game in a way that can help a lot more people make a living playing it. Instead Monahan decided it was best to put his head in the ground. The guy is anything but a visionary. Please note: This doesn't mean I am a "LIV guy" or like the format or anything like that. I don't. I do watch it occasionally when I'm bored, as the app makes it so I can watch golf on a weeknight. But I like 72 hole, cuts after 2 days golf the best.

  21. They based it on career success and cultural popularity…
  22. 🤣😂🤣 Yep I'm about an 11 handicap in the real world and breaking 80 is a rare feat but I'm a 5 handicap and shoot in the seventies on a regular basis on the R10. 🤣 Driver off the deck is a shot I won't even attempt but I've seen two different golfers play it very effectively in the past few weeks. To me it would just be a disaster waiting to happen!
