  1. Past hour
  2. maybe not in those exact terms, but the images of ANGC have driven the expectations that courses should be green. Members at a lot of clubs do demand lush green conditions when they would be much better served by browner and less uniform conditions.
  3. I don’t believe there is a butt weight, just a higher balance point for the actual shaft.
  4. My only criteria is that if I find I'm taking off a head cover for my 2nd shot on a lot of Par 4's, it's time to move up a tee box. Same for Par 3's. If I'm hitting a 3 or 4 iron off every Par 3, it's time to move up. Too short is rarely a problem.
  5. Yes if you have other items, it's not a huge deal to pay a few $$ extra. The only thing I really buy from them is epoxy and the part A and B tubes easily last me an entire season, if not more. I've bought brass weights and other things from them years and years ago... I still have many left over. Blow my grips on, so no tape or solvents, needed, etc 😄
  6. the great thing about basketball is the efficiency of it. you only have to tune in the last 2 minutes, since whoever makes the last basket wins.
  7. Reviving this thread. I have a Cobra Darkspeed LS 8* head , but my shaft has the old Cobra Adapter. The adapter has options for 7 - 10 degrees at 0.5 degree increments and 7.5 Fade - 9.5 Fade at 1 degree increments. Any help on how to convert these settings? Ideally would like the driver to play at +1 draw. If i'm reading the above chart correctly is it safe to assume the 9.5 setting would be +1 draw? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  8. I got no X or Tweeter account. I am afraid my attention span might be slightly too long despite ADD for it to be appealing.
  9. Meh. I’m more in the par is irrelevant camp. It’s more important if it’s a good hole or not. Usually the “half par” holes are the most fun.
  10. wesley already had a sponsors exemption coming his way for myrtle it was george that is in the Q so it would still be wild if wes ends up at wells fargo in NC if george ends up in myrtle SC the same week.
  11. Nah…your son is a better player than the boy that I referenced & yet your son is ranked 800 spots lower. Why would anyone pay for this? These JGH guys are clueless & don't understand software or what’s important to determine golfers’ rankings (for players or coaches). Garbage in, garbage out.
  12. Same and same, didnt go to the range once all week. Plenty of stretching in the room and on the first tee but like you, we didnt bother. 7 am tee times for the most part, didnt seem worth it.
  13. Vessel is a nice option also. Clean and simple
  14. Miss this being an individual tournament. I enjoy what it is, but just miss it being an individual event. I have a buddy that caddied on tour for a couple years, and we would go over on Monday to see him and hang out on the course, talk to the guys and all that.
  15. Might split the difference and play both haha. Thanks!
  16. I am seeing that the XC in 6x is actually lower torque than the vf 6x. Any idea how?
  17. wondering what the blade length is like compared to the TCs…that’s the one thing I didn’t like about the OS. Surprised they went with just 1* less loft than the TC as well. Not many irons come in at 33* 7i…usually 34 or 32*
  18. When we went in October, we played 36 holes 4 days in a row and I didn't change socks or shoes between rounds. We had 1 rainy day, and the rest was dry and decent. I just brought 2 pairs of shoes and alternated each day, and I had some decent smartwool type socks, and I was fine walking 36. But everyone is different, I was good just sitting down and grabbing a bite to eat and a beer between rounds. It was kind of funny, to play at a world class golf resort like Bandon and I didn't hit a range ball the entire week, the range just seemed a bit inconvenient. Shuttle over there, hit a few, then shuttle to the course you are playing. By the time you got there you would be basically cold again. We just went to the tee and were ready to go, probably just simply due to the excitement of being there. Usually I like to hit balls, warm up. But we pretty much woke up ready to go when we were there.
  19. When does a hole become too long or too short for you? Do you consider a 60 yard par 3 too short, how about a 240 yard par 4? Are there points where a distance is too long for one par, but too short for another par?
  20. My wife was training at the gym last week and saw a guy in the basketball court using speed sticks or similar and grunting and all that. She said "It bothered me way more than it should have. It was like all my frustration with your golf obsession had been made into a person that I could hate without guilt." I was like "Bright side baby...as crazy as I am, I'm not THAT guy!"
