After reading this whole thread, it is pretty obvious that a lot of club makers are constructing equipment that appeals to a wide range of players. It seems not to come down to quality and functionality, but rather personal preference. And that is how it should be.

Although the pros get paid to play a certain brand, I would hazard a guess that if one brand of club or ball stood out and allowed them to gain even a stroke or two then that brand would be the only one used on tour. The exception might be a company that would pay-to-play a brand that cost a stroke, but the professional calculates that the endorsement fee offsets the loss of earnings. It is purely a business decision.

Anyway, to the OP's point...Callaway as seen in my signature ever since the S2H2 "Pat. Pend." came out many years ago. Never felt the need to try another brand, although Ping has always turned my head.

I've done it three times in my life.

First with Northwestern
Then with Warrior
Lastly with Callaway (til I got a Ping driver)

If I had to again... I think I'd be okay with Ping.

Or... I wouldn't be against looking down at the Runbird on some Mizunos every time I stepped up to take a shot.

Easily could live with all Titleist or Ping. Can rule out Taylormade because I don't like them in general and Callaway because I've never liked their irons. Have had all ping back in the day and all Titleist as well.
