They have an "unofficial" rotation that includes some of them. But they will never adopt an actual rotation like the Open Championship just because of how big, how many, and how nice courses in America are.

I have the right to think what I want, and you have the right to disagree. Is there a problem with that?

I think the PGA Championship is the major that should be played at the up-and-coming, and/or less traditional courses...Chambers, Erin Hills, Whistling Straits, Valhalla, or something like Rich Harvest Farms, etc.

I'd throw out Torrey Pines. Not my favorite public course for the US Open. There already is an unofficial rotation with wild cards but not on a set time frame.

I don't think so. Courses like Baltusrol, Medinah, Merion, Oakland Hills, The Country Club, Congressional, Southern Hills, Oak Hill, Cherry Hills, Hazeltine... these are tried and true courses that bring Championship golf to areas of the country that are crazy about golf. They should all be in the conversation. I wouldn't limit it. Between the PGA and the US Open, they need to spread these Championships around the country, not limit it.

I'd really like to see Inverness get the Open again. They've lengthened it considerably with the room to add more and have almost twice the acreage of Merion to host corporate sponsors.

Personally, I'm not a fan of Torrey or Olympic at all.

I'm just going to say it - Torrey Pines is a boring dog track. Never again will I play that course or watch a tourney there. LA CC is a decent choice for SoCal, provided they have enough water for a tourney.

I agree about Torrey it does nothing for me. Quite frankly I don't like majors being played on courses we see every year already anyway, like Torrey and Pebble. There have to be more choices out there.

us open needs to rotate, otherwise it favors the top pros who have unlimited access to the private courses. also no course should be able to host a regular tour event and a major....the diversity is what makes the us open so great.

Actually, I think the idea of a rota has considerable merit. But the number isn't 8, there have to be at least a couple of dozen 'Open worthy' private and public courses. No, Chambers Bay is not among them.
