I just played at Pinehurst last November...was there for the Veteran Golfers Association championship. You have to have a great short game and have to be a good putter to score well there. Love No. 2!

Finished with a 88 on Pinehurst No. 2 today, played some really good golf but boy did those greens absolutely destroy me. 9 three putts! I gained about 6-8 yards per club moving from the Vapor Speeds to the Vapor Flys. What a beautiful and well designed course, it's definitely one of a kind and unique!

 

If you're their for another round you should play 9 just an awesome track, I've played them all and would rate them 2 first with 8 and 9 tied for a close second. 2 is amazing with all the history but hard to shoot a good score on, 8 and 9 are a little more friendly. I think I would give the edge to 9 especially if you can play a cut with your driver

 

Yeah man I've played all of them besides no.2 until today. I'm a firefighter in Southern Pines which is pretty much loaded with courses but I got to check no.2 off my bucket list today! I'm a mid 80 to low 80s golfer so a 88 for me there a superb round.

Just made the switch from the VR forged to the Engages and wouldn't go back.

 

Very good feel for a cast club but with some extra forgiveness. Spin is similar for me as well.

Both models are really good, but I give the nod to the Engage. 58 DS is the most versatile wedge I've ever played.

58DS is my favorite as well.

 

Also for me knock down shots with both the 54/58 are easier for me to hit with the Engages.
