Nothing will ever top the Vr Pro Blade Red/Black combo (2014 I believe?).

But who am I kidding. I will buy whatever they put out.

I fell in love with my vr pro blade 2 iron. So much that I haven't even played my vapor fly pro 2 iron yet. Call me crazy....

honestly I am looking at the Vapor Fly Pro 2 or 3 iron as a driving iron... I have watched a lot of videos and read a lot of threads on these... my only concern is that it will be better than I think it will and may lead me to a whole bag of Nike s*** lol.

What are you playing now? I have 4-PW in VPC and added a VFP 3 iron and while I really like off the tee/long club into par 5's I have no desire for a full set as I like the look and versatility of the VPC's better.

I thought I read somewhere that nike was going on a 2 year cycle for driver and woods? Or does that start AFTER the 2017 line is released?

I know the forged offerings will be this fall, and there will probably be a new wedge?

If Nike can find a way to make the PC's look better than having that fugly, cheap looking, badge covering the RZN cavity.. Or just make it look better than my 716 CBs, then I would make the switch.

Can't wait to see the new stuff though! That TW driver on the conforming list would look great next to my Speed TW. And how in the world could you make the wedges any better than the Engages?

id go with the 2i, i bought one and love teeing off wit it. even on mis hits it even stays good and straight, prob the best purchased i bought this year besides the origin putter.

hopefully nike releases a fly pro iron thats forged, id buy those in a heart beat. my whole bag is nike and i don't think id ever switch it out honestly, but go with a 2i and put a good shaft in it and get it setup the way you want it. trust me man you will love it, my brother liked my 2i so much he ended up taking it back home to memphis with him when he was in town which ill get back when father's day comes around

Almost positive a new Pro Combo iron type set is coming later this year.

I hope you are right!

he is. Nike rep said new line of blades and combos are set for this fall/winter

Any hints to the color? Please have photo blue on them!

Haha. I wish. He told me he hasn't heard or seen anything about them, but he did say he doesn't expect it to be a huge difference from the Vapors, maybe just some minor cosmetic changes.

Nike doesn't seem to have any real direction....forged blades? CB? combo sets? colors?

i would love to see Nike get their stuff together a little better but they are still a ways out from being a top 4 OEM behind Taylor made, Callaway, Ping and Titleist.

The equipment is solid. They just don't market it correctly.

The hero worship model doesn't work that much in golf unless it's apparel.

Just because they don't do the "10 yards longer" stuff doesn't mean the gear isn't good.

I'm not so sure the equipment is solid....the sasquatch lineup was horrible, but the blades were solid....then they took a step back and the fly irons are not good IMO.....I will say I hit the fly pro driver and killed it....even though tests show this driver is shorter than other drivers, I hit it 280. I typically hit my 910 D3 around 255.....its always a mixed bag with Nike....

Vapor Fly Pros are the best irons I've ever had in the bag. And I've tried them all... 2017 I can't wait.

I said solid. Not amazing. I don't think any of us could find a manufacturer that makes a lineup from top to bottom that completely fits us.

I don't care about the back and forth on the 2017 line...

When can we see pictures of what the Custom Origin putters look like for the members that recently went to the The Oven? :nyam:

In the next coming months. David Franklin is doing these putters in his spare time. Looking forward to seeing what everyone ended up with. :)

Nike has tons of cash, and their drivers are getting better but the irons are not progressing like other OEMs IMO. I may grab the new TW driver once I see the results from the initial testing. It looks great

What do you mean "progressing like other OEMs"? What kind of technology has changed irons in the last few years? A blade is still a blade and a cavity is still a cavity. Jacking up lofts and adding a bit of tungsten doesn't recreate a wheel.

Came out in 2008. Thats when I bought mine. Their pro combo irons in 2002 were better than anybody elses offering and still remain very solid. I guess after personally testing irons of all the OEMs I am not seeing what you are seeing other than blind hate. I will say shaft makes a huge difference and did not like the DGPro choices for their stock offerings.

I don't want to be in this argument, but sq was launched back in 2006. Machspeed with sq technology came in 2010

yes, this was the one I was referencing...

"I am not seeing what you are seeing other than blind hate." - that is classic Nike fanboy speak....I state an opinion and that's the answer?? come on bro......I just think Nike has a ways to go before being considered a top club maker in the industry....its my opinion, not law.....We live in the USA right?

my next driver may be nike if the test results come back good and I hit it well.....I do not like the 915 series of titleist drivers and still play my 910....

Man anti-nike crowd have to go back to 2006 to try to make a point. The SQ line debuted at the 2006 PGA show. I remember hitting the SQ tour with their talking Frank headcover giving me vector launch monitor results at the indoor range at the show. I also owned the SQ tour with a blueboard 83x when they first came out and it was a great driver. Hell a buddy of mine still plays my original sq tour that I sold to him YEARS ago!

It's funny the same member goes around trolling every single Nike thread. Why do people get so mad at Nike ? Did tiger blow you off for a high five when he came off a green walking to the next tee? Are you one of those dudes who thinks all Nike product is trash because you have caveman feet and the air monarchs your wife bought you from kohls don't fit correctly??

I think some of it starts with retailers not being a fan of Nike for whatever reason (and of course the trolls who despise TW). I can't tell you the number of times of gone in to Golf Galaxy, Dick's, Scheels, Golf HQ, you name it; walk around and look at Nike clubs and be told you don't want to swing that, Nike is bad.

Just this year alone, how is Nike doing? Golf Galaxy response = It's just Nike, you don't want to swing that driver.

Yet it beat out every other driver I've got this year. I demo'd the Pro Combos and VFP irons and they too felt amazing. There's an inherent displeasure with Nike equipment that stores are telling the customers.
