GolfWRX is interesting , entertaining, frustrating, infuriating, surprising and just a great way to spend time thinking about and talking about golf. It's the best sport in the world and the best place to discuss it.

I was going to become a concert pianist. That was my dream since I was 6 years old. Had no worries about anything else but practicing. In college, my dream started fading. Was it because I realized it was just a dream or because simply I'm getting burned out from practicing and losing interest in it? Probably both. In the midst of wandering aimlessly in life, I was accidentally introduced to golf. Harding Park, San Francisco. A 9-hole course. I didn't know what I was doing, just trying to make golf ball go inside the cup. At the final hole I hit a no-name brand 7 wood that I got from a friend on to the green and I cannot forget what it felt like. My partners were trying to teach me stuff because it was my first time playing golf ever. From that moment I was playing golf every week, squeezing range time in between course playing. Now, it's been 2 years and 9 months since the first time I played, and I'm trying to become a scratch player by November which is my third year at golf. Selfishly trying to achieve Malcolm Gladwell's 10,000 hour rule, I'm out on the range 6 days a week. Do i wanna become a pro? I think it's too early to say. I simply love golf and wanna be the best I can be since golf came to me during my hardest time.

I love GolfWRX because with limited knowledge I have, certain posts have just clicked with me whether it be about flattening out wrist, turning hips horizontally, or proper take away. These articles have meant something significant to me and I take it wholeheartedly. Before Golfwrx, I have been a fan of Meandmygolf and Mark Crossfield, and when they became associated with GolfWRX, I knew you guys were doing the right things! I also enjoy reading interviews from pros, WITB from recent winners on tour. I currently use Nike vapor blade but no more Nike :( I'll be making equipment change soon. I get so much information from GolfWRX and support, I cannot thank you guys enough!

I'm guessing a lot of people on here are like me, if you don't get out to play enough, the alternative is to spend your time reading about, thinking about, debating about, and obsessing about all the things we find here on Golfwrx.

I love GolfWRX because it allows me to "geek out" on golf even more than I already do. I used to be an airline pilot, and I would spend days overseas. I stayed on the computer connected to GolfWRX. SO much so that I would come home and know more about equipment than anyone at my local Edwin Watts. They even called me once when a customer had a question about some new equipment coming out.

To say I think about golf a lot is an understatement...

My wife would kill me for telling this, but one time when we were newly married, we just finished doing what newlyweds do. I am laying there staring at the ceiling and she cuddles close and asks, "what are you thinking about"? I quickly answer, "The position of my left wrist at the top of my backswing". And here I thought she wanted an honest answer to her question. :-)

I like golfwrx because golf is my passion (my wife would say obcession hah) I have met a lot of local golfers, and even met golfers in places I visit. A lot of these guys have become my friends. My usualy foursome is made up of 4 wrx members. I know many people interested in golf equipment, but I found a lot more like minded people on here. There is an incredible wealth of knowledge already online, or available with a few keystrokes by asking a question. Industry leaders and experts who are willing to help just because they want to/are kind enough to teach.

On top of the great information and social aspect of wrx, I have found the BST, WTB, and DOND sections to be excellent and unique resources. I would guess that I have at least over 200 transactions on here, with very few problems. I am able to trade, buy, and sell popular or even obscure items with ease! It's wrx to blame for my basement full of golf sets, and I love it!

I love GolfWRX because it's the most comprehensive golf resource available. While I'm sure many of us would love to be professional tour players and earn money (as opposed to burning it) via golf, it simply isn't the reality for us. This site allows us to connect to like-minded people who come together for a passion of ours and get immersed in the golf universe. Whether it's tour equipment, club making, or swing theory, there's something for everyone here who's into golf. Personally, I'd much rather be on tour than at a desk all day, but that simply wasn't in my cards. This forum helps keep the dream alive for me, even if it's just in my head for a few fleeting moments a day.

I'm competitive and golfing is hard :) This site is a way to connect to other golfers that share the same love and hate of the game that I do and it's also what helps me to improve. When I started playing I was a 22 handicap. I'm not down to a 9 and hoping to get down to a 4 or 5. If it wasn't for this site, I wouldn't know 1/4 of the stuff that I do about gear, do's and don'ts, techniques, etc. Plus it brings me constant news about the game, Professional to amateur, and keeps things interesting even when I'm feeling a little tired of it.

Thanks GolfWRX for putting together a great site.
