Lol that was some funny. The young guy really popped the older guy good. Took everything out of him after that punch and guy just backed off.

Absolutely nothing is more disrespectful than hitting into someone. In my younger days, I was about to confront the group behind us about this discourtesy. I was held back by a pal bigger than me. (I'm 6'3", not very tough, though.) He told me, I'd get beat up, and then arrested afterward.

 

Never forgot that. Must have happened to my buddy.

Somebody hit into me doing that this weekend, but the ball landed about 10ft away from me. Then 2 holes later they bitched we were playing fast enough, even though we had a 4some ahead of us, and we were a 2some.

I have hit into guys before on accident. Usually on short par 4 or 5's where I don't think I can hit the green and actually flush one. I always hop in the cart and run up say I am sorry that I did not think I could get there. Almost every time they just usually say nice shot no need to apologize. Sometimes It sucks though because you are sitting in the fairway out and it is 280 to flag and everyone is waiting. Even though you know that you only get there one out of 20 times. Sometimes it is tough to figure out whether the 1 in 20 risk of pissing the people off on the green vs pissing the people off on the tee.

Had it happen a month ago. Looking for a ball in our group, off fairway, and a fella on the tee hit into us from about 200yds out. Worst thing was, he had a girl who i presume was his daughter, about 8-9 yrs old, playing with him.

 

The best thing to do is .............. SCREAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! And roll around on the floor. Wait on the floor clutching a limb and pretend weeping.

Wow- that is one of the dumbest things I've seen in quite a while. The guy who walked up in the pink shirt should be banned from that course for good! That's ridiculous! He's pretty lucky one of the blue shirt guy's friends didn't smash him over the head with a putter and really teach him a lesson for starting a fight over something like being hit into on the golf course.

I wonder what the whole story was. There's always two sides. As a person who walks and alone at times , a blind tee shot is a real challenge when stuck behind a slow poke group. It's a roll of the dice. Sometimes you wait and when you get there hey are way ahead. And sometimes you don't wait and you hit into someone. I wait 3 minutes from my last sighting as a rule. Then say a prayer and let her fly. 2 sided coin in my opinion. You Should never hit into someone on purpose. But also should let someone play through if they are pushing you 2 holes in a row. And I think the front group should initiate the play through. The guy out back shouldn't have to come up and beg to get trough. All that assuming a clear course ahead. If it's crowded I just walk back to the clubhouse and hit balls or go home.

There are some pieces of etiquette that should always be observed, even during casual rounds. Not hitting intentionally into a group and letting faster groups through or letting them join you are two that come to mind.

 

Was stuck behind a twosome Wednesday. Who were playing SLOWER than a FIVESOME (don't know how that happened). Never once did they ask me to join or let me play through. Even when I asked they said, there's a group of five in front. Yet that group of five was consistently half a hole to a whole hole ahead.

And he was the one who came chargin up the hill onto the green like a freight train.

 

He's not worthy of wearing pink and it's guys like him that give guys wearing pink a bad name.

I'm not sure but I think that's at my club, and the guy in the pink is a guy that I tatooed in the quarter finals of the 2012 I-C Match Play Championship, lmao.
