Just picked this m10 adjuster up. I think it might have been Dave's at one point looking at the stamps on it. Maybe Chris can chime in while Adler tries to find out more info. Adler said it says "proof" under the medallion, but I don't have the tool to take the screws out in order to take a picture.

Here is what's under the medallion. It is stamped "proof" with multiple pin stamps, has "tool proof" stamped to the right with a "1" on the top right of "proof" and a "d" on the far right of the pocket.

Looks like a M2A with welded stubby neck and welded flange. Can't recall the names for the different type of flanges.

Can't tell the weight like that dude. Not sure what weight screws, type of flange, material etc.

Great looking putters. Worst communication and customer service though. I keep dropping in once in a while and it's the same story. But great looking putters.

Shame, this thread was 210 pages of awesomeness and now 10 pages of communication issues.

Same - And I used to sell dogleg right putters back in the day of the octagon grip etc.

Sent an email a week ago and no response.

Hey Dave if you're reading this... you need a new community liaison to start fielding these orders etc. I'll do it for one free M10 Fixer!

I heard today from DLR. They're still in a move state. Hoping to take orders in the near future. It was nice, apologetic email noting it is big, time consuming move. Works for me. I'll still be looking for an M8 in a few weeks to I think.

Nothing takes that long.

It woudn't be hard to get some orders in the system to help with cash flow.

This is pretty amazing. If there is one thing you can do, it's communicate. I ran into the same issue with another custom outfit and will not be going back. G luck to all those still pursuing a machine.

(Thanks for that, MoaningM!)

To All Friends and Customers,

Thank you for your patience and understanding on the pause in our business this summer. As most of you know, we’ve gone through a reorganization over the summer, and as part of that, some staffing changes and a move to our new facilities, which is still currently underway.

We’ve got some exciting new partners and are moving into a really cool space in old downtown McKinney where I also live and where we’ve raised our kids, so I’m excited about being closer to home, and also providing some new jobs and giving back to our local community here (in addition to some new opportunities I'll discuss more soon).

We’ve been headquartered at our old location in Plano for nearly ten years, and we have a total of 22-years worth of inventory, equipment, files and “stuff” that we’ve been sorting through. Clearly it’s time to let go of some of the old, and make way for more of the new. It’s no small task, and was complicated and delayed with the old tenants’ move out of our new space, and our negotiations with our old landlord to extend the move window, as well as scheduling all the machine riggers, movers, electricians, servers, IT, phones, etc. etc..

So, I greatly appreciate all our customers’ patience while we’ve gone through the restructuring and move. I also appreciate that some members here have wanted to order new putters, or get other accessories or services such as refinishing, etc. However, we had to put all new orders on hold, due to the uncertainties as to our moving date and timing before we are fully operational again, and also because our first order of business when we’re up and running again is the completion of some very special custom orders that were in process before the move started.

And after that, as part of our reorganization and new operating model, we’re contracting some parts of our business and expanding other parts that should allow us to meet more of our goals for the brand and our business as a whole going forward.

In the past we worked hard to be the company that offered custom work that went above and beyond what most other manufacturers and even other customer makers would offer. For instance, we made everything we make in right handed also in left handed. And that was just the tip of the iceberg with all the modular options, multi-materials, and literally millions of combinations and iterations....

Going forward, we still plan to continue to push the envelope for innovation, performance, extreme quality and artistic aesthetic. However, we have learned through past experience that we can’t be everything to everyone. So there will be limits on what we offer, and prices will also have to go up on many of the putters and services that we will offer going forward. I know this will be welcomed by some (especially current collectors and sellers), but won’t be as appealing to those looking for our work to compete with major brands’ prices for instance. Because of the nature of our work, we have chosen to focus on the very best we offer, our niche if you will, which includes ART, Garage, Prototypes, One-Off and One-of-a-kind creations. By focusing on that work, we believe we’ll be even better at it going forward.

Finally, as many of you know, we have also done R&D, ghost-design and CAD/CAM work, IP licensing and specialized manufacturing work for some other golf OEM partners. Some of those long-standing relationships have now concluded, and we are now entering new relationships with a few strategically aligned companies where we’ve been developing some exciting new relationships. We have new partners as well, and some new opportunities to branch out and diversify into some other sports using our expertise for innovation, IP creation, prototyping and product launch, etc.

Some of the new deals have just been cemented and others are still in the works, so we’ve held off from broadcasting anything here new until all is final and formal announcements can be made and press releases distributed, our website updated, etc. We simply couldn't start a rumor mill during some of these deals. In the mean time, thanks again for everyone’s patience and understanding as to the very limited nature of our communications during this transition.

I look forward to updating everyone with more details very soon, and in going over our new plans, relationships and work going forward. I’m excited about the next chapter in our 22-year history, and what the future holds for us, and for you, our loyal friends, fans and customers!

Thanks so much for everyone’s well wishes and kind words of encouragement and support.

Very sincerely,

-Dave

So there is another thread in the putter mods/artisans forum showing a bankruptcy filing earlier this year. I have no intent on buying a putter and no axe to grind, but I do believe an explanation is required. I also question whether the forum should continue to support this thread if there is any substance to this. Clearly members have expressed frustration at the service currently offered and I would hate to see people lose their hard earned money. Similarly I have a genuine respect and admiration for the quality of these putters and hope the owners can get back on track. Transparency is needed though.

Dear Dave Billings, I really do either need a putter that you have promised me or my money back, I am deeply pissed, and frustrated. It has been way to long, too many promises broken. Golfers code, you need to make me whole. 600 dollars is a lot of money for me and my family.
