Mizuno mp60 or 62

Anybody have experience with these two models. Which did you like better and why?

I had both at different points. I preferred the 62 just because it was a hair more forgiving.

I love the 60s, it's like the 32 on steroids..I actually bought them as a present and, nearly half a year later, still have not sent them.

The 62 is a tour club through and through. It is a great club but you need to bring it to get the most out of it...

Distance, about equAL bit I think 60s might win (I have both s300 tt)

62 is dead shot accurate, again, the club will deliver whatever the user can bring, whereas the 60 can help sometimes....

In the last shot above, 62 is on bottom, the grind was pretty special on the 62s, it was the first luke donald grind, which has been used on almost every club since.

I'd pull the trigger on the 62s, but seriously these are two great sets.

Had both, the 62 was just a better stick, better turf interaction.

The 60's were good, a tad more forgiving. Both iron sets depend

on the user for maximum enjoyment.

Which iron is which with the topline picture? I use to have a set of 32's in high school, so I am leaning between getting those or the 60's, but I want other peoples opinion.

I had both as well. I'd go 62 because of the turf. They both felt amazing though if you can find the 64s, they were the only thing that could get me away from the 62s.

Believe it or not, the feel. I thought the 62s were the total package (still are). When I hit the 64, they were everything the 62 was, just the smallest bit better in every department. The biggest being feel. Just a little more meat behind the hitting area.

I have read the short irons of the mp-64's have kind or a bigger head and don't blend well with the shape of the mid and long irons. Did you find this true?

The only knock on most MP irons is their short irons (8-pw) and their size. I only noticed this when I hit the MP 4. They purposefully made the 8-pw smaller and now other MP scoring irons look big to me. Before that, I never really noticed. The 64s are a wonderful set through out. Looks are subjective anyway, so if you like how they look then they're great!

62's just a fantastic club.

 

The cut muscle technology on the 60s/57s/27s was hokey IMO and it changed the sweetspot and moved it more towards the center. That's awful for traditional Mizuno players who are used to a slightly off-center sweetspot.

 

With any Mizuno club - the shaft matters a bunch as to how they feel - so be patient and find a shaft that works.
