Also, City are you saying the PQ is a power bottom?

When it comes to Domes, PQ is "little spoon" (as Boogs would say).

Saw you guys chirping about UMD course so played yesterday, I've lived 18 mins from it for a year and never knew it was a public course. Whoops! Liked it. Will definitely play again. Decent condition for January. Windy as hell! Got paired with some dude who was ANAL about my buddy and I's positioning around the tee when he was addressing the ball. I have a decent understanding of serious golfer etiquette and thought he was a tad over the top. My buddy doesn't play as often/take it as seriously so I was the awkward babysitter for the first 9 holes. That stunk. All in all thankful for discovering a new course on a 68 degree day in January!

HBD, I'm going to need some MS Paint diagrams to fully understand the situation.

CityGame is actually the only person I've ever (yes, ever) played with that has asked me to move to a different position when teeing off. He doesn't like people standing directly behind him on the target line. No big deal. If people would like me to move, it's an easy thing for me to do. If anyone was actually a d-bag about it though, I think I'd get upset about it real fast.

It's kind of hard to diagram but he essentially was uncomfortable if we weren't well back and completely out of his sight. Like stand on the tee box behind "completely".

If he's good (or nice), oblige.

If he sucks (or is an asshat), tell him to kick rocks. Or "maybe where we're standing shouldn't be what you're thinking about".

Or "no" - purely to see what his reaction is.

Or "sure!" - then move closer to him.

I hate dbag golfers. Luckily only played with a very few randos that were golf dbags around here. Honestly was expecting it to be worse.

He wasn't too much of a jerk about it. I was just scratching my head as to how some of the places we were standing could possibly bother him. I don't see or sense much besides my own body and the ball when I'm addressing it.

I'm not really bothered by that kind of stuff. I've never asked anybody to move that I can recall. When I played turf with city and 2moreterps, one of them moved my bag on the tee box, because they thought it was too close to me and where I was swinging. You can move around and talk during my PSR. You can probably walk while I'm putting for all I care. Everybody is different though.

One time I was playing waverly with PQ and city. PQ hit a stinker off the tee on 4, and starts fuming about some music he heard start in his backswing. I thought he was legit crazy, until a guy came driving down to 3 fairway from the tee, and sure enough, he was playing music out of his phone speaker.

City has asked me to move before, but not in a long while. Kind of surprising, since I feel like I've been standing pretty close to him/in his line of sight. I accidentally put the flag into the alternate hole on 7 yesterday, when he was mid-stroke. Felt bad about that one.

Eagle's partner asked me to stop moving during his PSR when he was getting ready to putt from the fringe on 5 in the Capitol Cup. That was a first for me.

Sully, I've asked you to move out of my through line. I've also asked FABB to mark his ball when I was putting. That was during a match tho. Depending on how hard I'm trying to concentrate, I can be a little twitchy when it comes to stuff like that.

It's really not difficult to stand in a spot where someone can't see you. People don't often stand 100% still when I can see them, and that movement can bother me. Why not avoid the potential issue altogether and just ask em politely to move?

That's when putting though, not on the tee. You're looking at the hole and see my sexy white legs behind it. That's distracting. I get that. I'm married, so I can say with mild confidence that at least one other person has been distracted by my sexiness besides you.

Though you have asked me to mark a ball that was 10 feet past the hole and only barely in your through line, which I don't quite get. I grew up playing with my dad and his family, and we never even marked balls unless it was a risk of hitting it. I've probably marked more balls in the last year than I did in the first 15 I played the game. I've seen people ask to move ball markers in situations I wouldn't even ask people to mark a ball at all.

Personally, I'm staring at the ball and the hole. Nothing behind or to the side of me has any effect. Movement is absolutely distracting to me, but a person standing still or a ball sitting there doesn't bother me at all. Even on the green when someone is on my line behind the hole. As long as they are still, no problem.

All that said, even if it is a bit of a head scratcher when someone asks me to do something that I consider silly, it's NBD. City is the "worst" I've played with in that regard and it's maybe 2 times in the dozen or few dozen times I've played with him? Even if I don't agree, it's a minuscule inconvenience to me and it makes the other person happy. Even if I'm right and City and Eagle are completely ridiculous (which is of course true), there's no reason for me to do anything except accommodate their simple request. It's no harm to me and makes them happy. That's just called being a good playing partner.

Very happy that THDC compared me to the adult Tiger.

Also very happy that I have brought the word "twitchy" to the thread.

DTF: water. Ive lost liters of fluid from the wrong holes the past few days. The good news is that it's over. Maybe.

DTF Late-Friday/Into Saturday: A&W Cream Soda

One advantage to the training club? It's short so I can swing it in my room before bed. Averaging 10/15 cuts a night. Trying to incorporate a better transition aside from the swaying I've used when I get lazy. Feels good thus far.

I cant think of anytime I've asked someone to move, but I have no problem asking someone, "can you throw a mark on that for me?" if it's anywhere close to my line/through line. I kinda like to have a blank canvas in front of me and not have worry about whether my line will come anywhere near their ball.

Now that I think about, though, I have had occasion to start my PSR, stop and look at someone near me. They usually get the message without me having to say anything.
