When looking at other items on their site, there are a lot of clones.

I play that exact grip, the iomic Sticky Evolution 2.3 and it doesn't come in a red cap, it's a lime green cap. It's more than likely a fake.

 

Here's the real grip straight from the maker (and at a solid price as well, but I don't know what shipping costs). If you prefer smaller grips, then they've got the same grip on sale for a set of 13, just in a smaller diamater (1.8).

Hard to beat that price, especially if they are indeed real deal iomics. Indeed may be a custom overrun or a previous model, but just looking around that site made me a bit suspicious. Personally, I'd go with these before that site.

Researching this morning, I've come to the conclusion that they're clones. I don't have any idea if they're good or not, but I'll pass on these and just pay the retail this time around. Maybe I'll try one out on a backup club and see how it works.

FWIW. I believe (not 100% sure ) they were made for Adams Golf -red caps. I've played them for a season and a half. I think they are great grips I have them on two sets of Mizuno irons ...never had a problem.

Ok, so not only do I believe now, I just got a set of 13, since that's my absolute favorite grip at an absurd price. Will keep you all posted they arrive and will let you know what I think.

The Black Armours used to be a few bucks cheaper but other than the Diamond Tour Adams overstock deal even ebay pricing has gone up on them. Grips4less has raised their pricing too on them. Used to be about $8 a pop, now pricing is more in line with the Stickys and Evolutions.

 

The Black Armour by design is supposed to be a firmer grip than the Sticky as the upper portion is based on the Evolution grip which is firmer feeling than the Sticky.

 

As for quality, I play both the Black Armours (irons and wedges) and Sticky's on my hybrids, fairway wood and driver as well as have them on a few driver test shafts. In my opinion the quality has dropped off a bit over the years on the Sticky. I have 1.8 Sticky's (orange with yellow cap) on my hybrids going on the 5th season now. Wear is incredible and they feel amazing after a quick wipe down with grip solvent followed by soapy water. The Black Armours are very nice as well. Wear is fine and after two years they still have a nice tack.

The newer Sticky 2.3's (blue with black end cap) I bought last year that I have on my driver and fairway wood, seem to pick up dust very easily. I had the same issue with Golf Pride Tour Wrap 2g's. I would need to wipe them down nearly every shot to remove the dust they picked up. The newer Sticky's are not that bad but close. They also feel a bit firmer than my older Orange ones.

To each their own, I actually like the firmer feel over the standard Sticky. It has a cord like feel in the left hand and a softer portion in the right. Best of both worlds for me. Into my third year with them and they feel great still. Don't hit them up with the solvent, but soapy water and they tack up really nicely. Great grips.
