Ship sticks or anything like it

It's a balance between a few things. Do you have airline status for free checked bags? Do you mind hauling your bag through the airport? How long can you be without your clubs on either end of your trip?

The service works, it is probably only slightly more expensive than checking a bag if you pick the ground rate.

I was thinking the same thing but with getting free checked bags due to having status/being military I opted to just take them with me. I am getting the Sun Mountain glider travel bag so it should not be that much of a hassle.

All depends how far you need to ship them, if you have a biz account with UPS or Fedex dont bother you can probably get a better rate thru them and just bring the shipping label with you to attach to your travel bag, all they are is a massive corp account with ups and fedex that can maybe save you some money.

I used Luggageforward to ship from Scotland back to the USA because I tacked on a two-week non-golf trip extension. I obviously didn't want to lug the clubs all over Europe. Everything worked perfectly. As I recall, the price was about $270 and they picked up my clubs at my hotel.

Used ship sticks a few times and nothing but high praise for the overall process. Very easy to set up and drop off. Well worth it!

The part in bold is the biggest factor when shipping clubs for most of the guys I know. Some like the idea of not having to deal with the clubs when traveling, but then have to be sure they plan their golf schedules around the trip.

I have used Ship Sticks before and as has been said, the service flat out works. I had zero complaints as far as the entire process went and would happily recommend them again. Having status or a CC that pays for your checked bag fees on airlines makes it a more simple equation if you only have a 2 destination (there and home) trip as it costs you nothing but a little bit of time.
