Today, or in the near future? She's currently 7th in the world, so I doubt she can climb to #1 today. However, she definitely seems to be back in form post-injury. I think she has a good chance to reclaim the spot.

 

They mentioned that Ariya can reclaim the top spot with a win this weekend.

With Harukyo Nomura leading does anyone know what happened at the swinging skirts event? I've read online but never seen it that she built a stance in the bunker but the lpga decided to no penalize her? I assume that is was the tournament she won.

 

It was borderline (unlike the one couple weeks ago :) ), the LPGA just decided to cut her some slack. Yes, it was last year.

 

I thought it was pretty obvious and she should have been penalized.

Both cases the official clearly stated before the pick they get the pick for the better round. In So Yeon's case that was a flat out lie.
