I watched her in an LPGA event in Vegas about 20 years ago. She was downright nasty to her obviously cuckolded husband who was also her caddy at the time.

Sounds like she was the Cristie Kerr of her era - to the nth degree :grin: . I saw her a time or two at LPGA events but never observed the drama.

I think she's really solid most of the time. Definitely knowledgeable on the course and about the game.

This was NOT one of her best moments. She's apologized on Twitter already; I don't think she's losing her gig over it but it was an uncomfortable exchange.

I don't like Dottie Pepper but after meeting Scott Brown at an event I can't stand him. He was one of the rudest pros I've seen at the tournaments. Very Arrogant.

Isn't Dottie known for saying stupid stuff? Saying stupid stuff that got her OSTRACIZED by her peers. Wasn't it at the Solheim Cup?

She can stay IMO..based on the fact she actually played the sport compared to her courtside or sideline counterparts. She is allowed a gaff every once in a while I guess...heck Feherty ragged on everyone and got big money for it.

I get why people are upset and think that she should apologize, but she does have a history of being a bit mean/condescending to people. I think there was a pro-am in the 90's where an amateur partner was playing slow/poorly and she was recorded as complaining to other players about it while the event was going on. We all aren't perfect either way but I think that what she was trying to say and the way that it came out was completely different.

The best was on 18 on Sunday when Smith or Blixt hit his approach into a grass bunker and Dottie added to the assessment of his poor lie, "plus he can't touch his ball".

 

There was a moment of silence followed by Faldo saying, "good point....Dottie". :cheesy:

How about Dottie telling Scott Brown he has yet to win on the PGA Tour, then him correcting her saying he won the 2013 Puerto Rico Open... Instead of her just apologizing she just rubs it in even more clarifying that it wasn't a "full field, regular event".

 

 

Basically telling Scott Brown "Oh yeah my bad, you won but it was against a bunch of losers so you didn't actually win." The video is gold. You can tell Kisner just wants to walk away.

i enjoy her cadence while on course.. But those two inerviews are cringe worthy at best and down right mean at worst... and to back it up with trying to double down and still call his win " not a full field event" ... thats just wrong .. one coudl throw it back at her and say " well your wins were just LPGA" and both comments would be equal.... yet the latter would get cries of discrimination and likely lawsuits depending on who said it

With that said I actually like her. It was an awkward exchange with Scott Brown. She obviously was not aware he had won a tournament and then didn't want to totally concede that she had been mistaken.

In her defense Puerto Rico is an alternate field event and won't be on the PGA schedule anymore effective in 2018.

 

My favorite Dottie story. Shoprite Classic in AC NJ, 2nd round, hole #7, a 185 par 3 with bunkers and junk left, deep, and right. She tugs her tee shot into the junk left. Without much of an effort to keep it quiet, she exclaims 'F*** Me!'. All of us watching just kind of looked at each other with various expressions of surprise and humor, but always glancing over to Dottie to make sure she didn't catch you laughing other wise you would risk getting punched in the face.

Rude of her to say for sure, but it's what a lot of people think, including most pros. A name tour pro said to me, about winning those same week events to majors and wgc events, "it's like hitting 20 homers in AAA and expecting to be called a big league all star."
