Played there a dozen times. One of my favorite courses anywhere. I don't think we'll see many people going for the green on 18 if they play it all the way back.

 

10 is one of my favorite par 3s anywhere as well.

This course is absolutely gorgeous! The layout of every hole looks sublime. Excited to watch this tournament with a strong field.

I have played 400+ golf course and been to another 200 or so covering golf on all the tours for Golf wrx and this is the best conditioned golf course I've ever seen. Better than Augusta National in my opinion and I've been to 15 Masters.

My buddy is one of the original 9 investors...it was $1M for the membership then. I think it is $250k initiation today.

Those conditions are amazing, I can only imagine what it would be like to play on a course in that kind of shape! Everything looks like it is fake grass!

The tournament infrastructure is very weak. Just no real room around the club, on club property to handle an event on a fulltime basis

Exactly. Just getting into the club feels like you have to go down some back alley side streets almost. I'm not sure how they will handle getting everyone on property. My buddy has a house on Figure 8 island right beside the club, but it is a 20-30 min haul from the downtown hotels in Wilmington out there.

Was just looking at the location on Google maps, and two thoughts came immediately:

 

1. What an incredible course.

2. What a logistical nightmare.
