I need to go back and watch it, I remember 2 times during this years Masters coverage when Faldo "politely corrected" an on air statement she was making. She just sounds disjointed and out of place for that coverage. I think for better or worse we are all used to a certain cadence and pc ness with golf announcing and she just comes off.. different.

PC? You mean like when Gary McCord got permanently banned from the Masters coverage when he said on the air that:

  • the greens were extremely fast because they were bikini waxed.
  • the rough was so bad that they had body bags ready for any player who ended up there.

Dude. There's no rough at Augusta National. You're lucky they don't fire you!

That was certainly a faux pas, but she is getting better every tournament. I am really actually growing very fond of her. She seems funny, knowledgeable and very well respected by "the boys". Bedside the awkward Scott Brown insult I don't really think she has done much wrong. She is absolutely without a doubt less obnoxious than McCord.

Is it just me or does DP look like Bernard Langer in drag from the profile view???

Just about any 51 year old women, who spends most of their life in the sun, looks like that.

She is 51? I honestly thought she was mid 60's. Yikes.

"Dottie Pepper ... Still hot at 48 ......"

Legit thread title. Can't make this stuff up.

Thread should have been Hottie Pepper. What a looker!

I am fully aware that there is no "rough" at the Masters, only second cut, third cut, etc. I am not sure if McCord mentioned the word "rough" but he did say "body bags," so he has been banned from CBS broadcasts of the Masters for quite awhile now.

There are no fans or gallery either, only "patrons."

That's what the sun does to women, especially if they have fair skin.

Have you seen Julie Inkster on a golf course within the last 10 years (not just when she has tons of makeup doing a broadcast)? Dottie looks a lot better than Julie. I saw Nancy Lopez on Feherty, and she is no spring chicken any more either. It happens to most women like that have years of sun exposure.

To understand Dottie, you might want to know a little about her past.

Her grandfather, Sultan Pepper, got her started in the family business at the tender age of 9. It was at Pepper’s Driving Range and Appliance Repair in Saratoga Springs, New York where Dottie first picked up a club. When the young Dot wasn’t fixing freezers, alternators and AC units, she was out on the range hitting balls. Her dad, Serrano, was the one that schooled her on the finer points of yelling at shots after hitting them. Then in the late 80’s, Dottie’s older sister Bell Pepper suggested she play in some local tournaments. Things really got hot when, with her uncle Red on the bag, Dottie went on tear winning 6 of her first 10 times out. The rest is history. Here is a picture from her college days.

You’re 6 beers in. Down the bar sits Inkster, Pepper and Raknin.

I gotta go with Pepper.

Ryan Palmer's sister Rosie would still be in play for me.

I watched her in an LPGA event in Vegas about 20 years ago. She was downright nasty to her obviously cuckolded husband who was also her caddy at the time.

With that said I actually like her. It was an awkward exchange with Scott Brown. She obviously was not aware he had won a tournament and then didn't want to totally concede that she had been mistaken.

In her defense Puerto Rico is an alternate field event and won't be on the PGA schedule anymore effective in 2018.

To be honest, I didn't know Scott Brown won that event either, and I watch that event from time to time, esp when the WGC would be over early. Flip to GC and there it was.

I think it's so easy to bash these people who have to ask questions. She made a mistake, let it go.

I think she does good work most of the time..........this certainly was a miscue. Give her a break and go on..........most of us aren't perfect!

You're not? I thought it was a qualification to be here at GolfWrx. You must have a perfect swing as a Male 4 hdcp that generates a 275 yard carry on average, the ability to beat an LPGA Pro, you must know who won every event for the last 25 years and finally, you must be able to walk and play 18 holes in under 2 hours.

Am I missing anything?

You need to go to a different bar.

Back to the room to see what's on "TV".
