A DEVICE For GOLF STRETCH?

This device is great for anyone who is a little limited in the backswing but I also felt like it might help through the ball as well so I have been using it both ways. It has been so rainy and sloppy here I have not been able to tell if I have had any gains in distance but my swing certainly feels freer in both directions.

I am desperately trying to get a friend of mine to use it. He has lost so much distance and flexibility since turning 60 it is making him miserable.

Wish me luck.

"The MISIG is a wonderful training aid. Not only as a flexibility tool, but as a guide to feel the necessary loading and structure needed to produce a dynamic motion.

As instructors, we want to quickly be able to give players a feel to accomplish a goal, and this aid makes quick work out of a lot of sloppy swings."

The Orange whip is an outstanding tempo trainer. But this device (I bought one) does more to increase range of motion. Tight shoulders were keeping me from getting the club deep enough on my backswing, so it never had a chance to shallow and I would come down too soon, steep and over the top. Nothing was fluid.

I've said it before: A consistent stretching regimen would do more to improve most golf swings than most swing tips. Foam rollers, holding stretches for 30 seconds X 3 reps -- it is amazing what happens if you do it every day for a week.

I got into it due to a back injury. The physical therapist drilled into me that stretching is the key to everything. Build a real routine and do it correctly and you don't need to lift weights. Stretching makes you stronger, especially golf strong.

I have used the device as I won it at the golfwrx MISIG giveaway. Thr device is well made , simple and effective. I use it every day and highly recommend it , After using it, I have noticed a more effective turn on my back swing. Great product

I was also one of the fortunate winners. I use it before every round and (not as often as I should) other days as well. Had my instructor try it and he endorsed its use as well. Use it both right and left handed.

I'm usually very skeptical, but I saw the info on this and bought it. I am very pleased with it. If I get my left shoulder back (I'm right handed) I usually hit the ball pretty well. This device has helped me do that. In addition, I'm close to 70 and this device helps me loosen my shoulders. I like it!

I agree with you here. I took it a step further and started doing Pilates Reformer back in December. It's the best thing I ever did for my game.

I was one of the lucky winners and have finally gotten to use it for a few weeks. I have to say, I really enjoy using this thing a lot.

I've been a tiny bit negligent in stretching properly as of late as I'm usually hustling to the course trying to squeeze in as much golf as possible. This was the perfect aid for me to use to get back to intentional stretching, even if I only have a couple of minutes. Additionally, one of my issues with my golf swing is not enough turn with the shoulders, lack of width, and thus I have problems with coming in too steep. I've used it for my last ~ 5 rounds and I've noticed I'm looser much faster. I usually stink on ice on the first hole due to playing cold.

I don't know if it's because I "trust" my turn more, but I've been hitting much better as of late and this has certainly helped.

I want to get looser, with a better turn. So I just bought one of these.

"Feel the stretch" (MISIG) is a very effective training aide that has multiple benefits. First, it helps increase a players ability to turn thus adding club head speed which equates to more distance and secondly, it has helped to strengthen my back, my lats, and my core allowing me to swing more aggressive without fear of injury. I am 60 years old, have been playing golf for 51 years, and I hit the ball further today than I have at any time in my career!"

Just finished my routine and wanted to mention one thing: Really a difference maker if you always stretch both sides. I am left-handed, play golf right-handed, and I could feel a difference in flexibility and strength between my left and right sides when I started with this thing. That gap is closing.

Swinging and stretching from the opposite side feels weird at first, but I believe it helps my balance and golf swing. Easier to get that effortless power instead of powerless effort.
