  1. Believe it or not, my switch to Wilson Triton driver. Packed the head with cotton, weights set to draw. Not as long as other drivers maybe, but for me it is a true fairway finder ... and that’s what I needed. Scores can really go down when you’re not playing so many second shots from trouble.
  2. Yeah, but we're talking about real golf. :) Breaking news: Kim Jong Un offers to host peace talks between PGArox and women golfers everywhere!
  3. All that padding is hilarious. US sports need to man up a bit ;) All that padding is hilarious. US sports need to man up a bit ;) Hey, a real man doesn’t need all that floozy padding:
  4. Yeah. Come on Charley Hoffman...a Tupac double up? No, no. Has to be....The Stones “B!tch” “You got to mix it Charley, You got to fix it, Love, it’s a b!tch.”
  5. FWIW: Mark Crossfield and Lockey played Harbor Town in January 2017; posted a VLOG on it on YouTube. Interesting watch to see how mere mortals (especially Lockey) play the course, if you can put up with MC’s constant yabbering. Edit: I don’t know which tees they were using.
  6. Shank, I think this story relates to one of the British Open courses; something like the evening after Watson won the Open on that course (and after a few drinks) he showed up with some other pros (Weiskopf and others?) and tried to play the course. He and the others were escorted off the course as they were not members. Can’t remember which course, though. Hard time believing these guys wouldn’t know the protocol to play a private course ... plus hard time believing a private course would escort an Open winner to any where aside the 1st tee From Golf.com:

  8. Dear GOLFWRX friends: Please, please...do not mistake 15Over for 2over. Thank you, 15Over
  9. He is actually playing the Callaway MB1's. Whoops, that’s correct. I’ll shut up now.
  10. Nike irons still winning majors? That’s correct friends.
  11. Placed my order on Weds, 4/4, shipped 4/5, UPS tracker says on truck out for delivery today. That was fast!
  12. To the tune of Rolling Stones “Sister Morphine:” “The scream from Arnie’s gallery is still sounding in my ear, Oh Sister Tensei, will you go a round with me. You know and I know if I go left at Augusta then I’m dead, And you can sit around and watch all my numbers going far from red. Sweet cousin Cameron lay your cool cool hands on the greens, And with Sister Tensei turn my nightmares into dreams.” My thoughts are that if he’s more comfortable with the Orange, and he thinks it may help eliminate “The Big Miss,” then let the good times roll.
  13. Thanks Par5, guess that explains why I had no idea they were an ‘item.’ LOL. And thanks to Touch for the mea culpa and setting the record straight.
  14. Maybe they offered her a new slot and she said I already have one? My feeling is that she will end up in sports somewhere, after taking a respite to collect her thoughts and make some decisions. I wonder if her Life Partner is hot. She'll find a slot somewhere. Seems nice, fairly boring and monotone for my taste. Not offensive though, She will land on her feet somewhere. You asked. I'd say yes. And I would agree...... Didn’t this woman used to do fitness or yoga sessions on GC? Had no idea they were “an item.”
  15. +1 on that ....”Dont go over there!!”
  16. Off topic, but, can the guys who will be playing in the Masters go to Augusta and play practice rounds before the tourney, assuming they are not playing somewhere else, like the WGC?
  17. I was more inspired by TW’s play at Valspar, on tighter, more tree-lined (ie, more Augusta-like) fairways, than I am with his play here. It seems like he drives so much looser when he knows he’s got room to lose it right or left and recover. At Copperhead (and at Augusta) you don’t get those chances too often, and he seemed to play tighter off the tee.
  18. Didn’t Steve Stricker go through a similar slump a few years back and kind of hit rock bottom, then worked his way out of it? Maybe it’s the golf circle of life. Hope Smylie can work his way out of it.
  19. Ugh, no. Someone needs to get Cara Banks to hide and then never look for her. I like tall women. . . . . . . . . . . just so ya know ..... and I wouldn't mind checking her for ticks. Skinny, tall, and British brunette women who talk golf. Yes sir! ( In Verne L.'s voice of course) Yeah, Touch, but somebody, somewhere, is tired of her s**t.
  20. The "regular" NX7 doesn't have jolt from what I read on their site. The Pro model does. Is that correct? . Actually, the PP “Nexus” model does NOT have “pulse” (ie, jolt); the regular NX7 DOES have pulse, and the NX7 Pro has pulse PLUS slope. The regular NX7 at $199, less $20 off, for a rangefinder with jolt is an excellant value.
  21. ....Snell become ‘the #1 ball in golf.’
  22. “Precision pro is having a 20$ off sale today with code "tiger". You can't go wrong with their products as far as a laser rangefinder.” +1 to this. It’s hard to find a decent laser with “jolt” for under $200, and the NX7 is better than just decent. Excellant product. I assume the NX7 Pro with slope is just as excellant.
  23. It’s a good commercial, but what I really like about it is that it harkens back to that ‘twinkle in the eye’ kind of Tiger humor that we used to see in the old Tiger/Frank Nike commercials. It’s nice to see him starting to get that feeling back. Hope they keep the ball rolling along those lines. See what I did there. ?
  24. I’m a 20. Last year I went back and forth between between TP5 and Snell MTB; both are great balls. At my level I really need all the help I can get from 150 yds and in, and both balls were great for me in that regard. I finally settled on MTB though because it just simply felt better to me. I have some of last years stock still on hand and a test pack of the new ones on the way. Happy to support a GOLFWRX contributor as well.
