1. It's Masters week so I've got to go with the White/Green Limited Edition, size 11.5. Thanks!

  4.
Yeah! We received snow last week. The only course I know that was still open is Legacy in Norwalk, IA. They just built this new facility that allows you to hit from a heated bay. I can't wait until my club opens!
Eston, where are you located? Are you saying Legacy course is open or just the heated range bays?
  5.
Looking for any courses in Iowa that may be open on Sunday. Des Moines area, or Cedar Rapids would work. Not sure if the snow got you this week. Let me know!
bumpity! gotta make a plan!

I was perusing the PGA Show articles when I came across the review of the Barefoot B.E.R.B. shoe, a newcomer to the golf shoe market. I couldn't help but think that this was pretty much an imitation of the True Linkswear design. No biggie, that's how it works when you have an innovative product, there will be those that catch a coat tail. What I found off putting was the company spokesperson going on about their breakthrough design that uses a barefoot platform and wider toe

No biggie, that's how it works when you have an innovative product, there will be those that catch a coat tail. What I found off putting was the company spokesperson going on about their breakthrough design that uses a barefoot platform and wider toe box, and how they're the only shoe to do so. Hmmm....uh...sorry, but True obviously struck
  9. P.T. Barnum is laughing it up somewhere.
  10. My experience with Mizzy irons tells me that it's hard to go wrong with anything stamped "MP-___", however, the MP-63 is my current weapon of choice, and by far the best set of irons I've bagged to date. I love the way the 63 sets up, very clean, traditional look. Coming from years of mostly playing blades, I really appreciate the added bit of forgiveness that these bring to the table. Happy hunting!
Great review. I've had my 63s for a little over a year now and I agree, they are fantastic irons. Like you, I'm getting older (53) and decided to go with a less demanding shaft after hitting some lightweight shafts on the range. Took the plunge and ordered the 63s with the True Temper GS-95 in stiff and hit a home run. Best feeling shaft I've played so far and it is REALLY easy on older hands, wrists and fingers. Very stable, does not balloon and in my opinion makes long irons with more compact heads like the 63s easier to play.

I hit balls with some new 68s today as well (NY- mid 40s with a little wind) and the feel is very similar to what your wrote. Enjoy the new sticks!
Thanks Pin! I hope Old Man Winter continues to be lenient, I'm going to try to get a round in this week!

first impressionsIt seems odd to be writing a review on the day after Christmas, considering I live in Northern Iowa. I'm certainly not complaining, my snowblower can sit quietly all winter for all I care. So today I ventured to the range with my newly acquired Mizzy MP-63's. I wanted to upload some pics, but I'm sure you've all seen these lovely sticks, and if not, surf on over to Mizuno Golf website and have a look. A quick bit about me as a player. I ended the year as a 3.8, I'm closer to 50 than I care to admit, swingspeed with a driver was last measured right at 100 mph. My iron game has
  14. Stiff flex for me please. Have a set f TM 300 heads waiting patiently. Thanks!
  15.
Just a note to people saying older guys don't look cool in white belts. Trust me, you look equally cool.
^^^^^^ what he said. Isn't it funny that some "players" think they look cool wearing the same things they find amusing on a mature adult. I'm no fan of white belts, pink pants, or the pastel crayon phase that seems to be sweeping the golf world, but really, who gives a rat's tail what some else is wearing. Good grief. Youth is wasted on the young.
