  1. I haven't played Bowling Green but would echo what bubbagump said about Blue Ridge Shadows. Interesting course, conditions usually decent or better, and price is good (at least a couple of years ago).
  2. 1-2" down south in Culpeper. We added about 1/8" of ice on top of that. I got to spend 8:30p-11:00a without power. Loved it.
  3. Prices are paypaled and shipped to CONUS only. Not interested in any trades at this time. 1) Cobra F9 Speedback One Length irons Set - 5-GW (7 irons) Shaft - stock KBS Flex - stiff Grip - stock Lamkin with Cobra Connect LLL - standard Condition - typical wear from a couple of seasons of use. Some discoloration on a couple of faces...not sure why. Some of the shafts show some small pitting spots (see close up pic). $old 2) Titleist Vokey SM6 wedge head set Set - 50/12F, 54/10S, 58/12K Loft/Lie - standard
  4. Same journey here. Evan Williams Bottled in Bond (white label) - IMO best bang for your buck on the market Four Roses Small Batch Buffalo Trace Larceny - its wheated so slightly different taste Makers Mark - also wheated. I'm not a fan but a ton of people love it Knob Creek Wild Turkey 101 Eagle Rare - 10 yr age statement and around $30-35. Hard to beat.
  5. From the price I hope they would be pretty good. It's about double what it used to be. Spring Creek isn't too far of a drive from Birdwood so you could probably make a weekend of it.
  6. I saw Birdwood (which is the UVA course) on the VA list and thought "wtf? That place wouldn't make the top 25 public courses in the state." Turns out they just had DLIII redesign the place. Prices increased substantially after the redo. The good news - it's public so commoners like Sully can still play it.
  7. That's a cool concept. My first thought was "those have to be $15+ per." Turns out they are $10. Not too bad. Might as well order a couple to see how they are. Greg - No luck for you big handed guys according to the FAQs... https://store.golfpride.com/store/grips/prod3360001/concept-helix

  9. I've always enjoyed the Gauntlet. Can be tight on some holes but still pretty fun. Conditions are usually pretty good, especially for the price.
  10. You pretty much have to find out what day of the week your store gets deliveries, watch the online inventory on that day, and then be there as soon as they open.
  11. I ordered a pair of the Gel Course Duo a couple of months ago and finally got to the try them on the course yesterday. The most comfortable golf shoe I've ever worn! The past few years I've worn FJ Pro SL and DNA. I thought they were reasonably comfortable, but even wearing a wide my foot felt cramped and pinched and I would inevitably have discomfort after a couple of hours. No discomfort at all yesterday while walking 18 in hot, humid conditions. I do agree with others that these look a lot better in person than the photos online. I did have to adjust the boa a couple of times, but I m
  12. It was certainly steamy yesterday. Played for the first time in 2+ months and walked. Probably not the best idea but I didn't die, so I got that going for me. Got lucky when the starter sent me off the the back to start and never had to wait on a shot until my 16th hole. Even then the guys offered to let me play through but I was in no hurry so I told them to take their time. While my game was atrocious, the Asics Gel Course Duo shoes are real winners. Far and away the most comfortable golf shoe I've ever worn. I have a wide foot and I never had any discomfort along the wide part of my
