  2. Since you are local to Orlando consider getting in touch with Lyndon over at Golf Studio 360 located at Orange County National. He has worked with several tour players and has a very good feel for matching clubs to swings. At least he did for my iron shaft fit - it was a great and detailed experience. We spent close to 3 hours just on refitting iron shafts. I think he could get you into a new set or modify your current set if you want to go that route. Plus he does great work in his shop. Another bonus is that the fitting is all done outside on the grass range supported by a launch
  3. Go for it! You will feel better knowing you left nothing on the table. I recently had the benefit of a three hour iron shaft fitting here in Orlando with a local fitter at Orange County National. The session involved checking my current specs (iBlades with LZ 6.0 fit by Ping) in the shop and going out to the grass range with a monitor. We hit several combinations and went back to the shop to narrow down further. Then back to the range to hit a few other options with some swing weight adjustments to get to the final decision. Ended up with the $ Taper 120. I thought the C Ta
  4. I second Enterprise Golf in Secaucus, New Jersey. Very knowledgeable staff.
  5. Mizuno Mp-19. Bought these beauts off ebay in 2000. I think the production years were 1996-2000. They could definitely use some regrooving.
  6. Congratulations! Always a good feeling. Soon you will be telling us how you just broke 80. I actually grew up playing Falls Road quite a bit as a kid. The re-model from a couple years ago was a welcome upgrade, and I am certainly a fan of hole 16 or 17 (the very downhill and shortish par 4; great for taking a huge rip at the ball with little or no penalizing conseuqences). Now I'm in north Jersey begging the county to get our public courses into decent shape. Man, I miss the courses back home in the DC Metro area. Play East Potomac (Blue) in DC next. That course has a low round
  7. I carry a 15 degree Taylor Made V Steel with a TT Dynamic Gold X-Flex (I gutted the stock TT Superlite shaft last fall). I feel as though I have a better tempo with the heavier shaft and am less prone to quick moves from the top.
  8. Why is he SO close to the ball?I (as well as a few golf commentators) have noticed that Tiger appears to set himself much closer to the ball than in years past. I assume this is a product of Hank Haney's teachings, however, it would seem as though a close proximity to the ball would suggest a more upright swing, despite what I hear from Tiger that he is working to flatten out his swing. Any swing gurus, actual or self-declared, have any thoughts?
