  1. Check to make certain what is open in Pinehurst, remember receiving an email from Pinehurst Resort that the resort hotels are closed. Do not know about the courses. A quick call to the resort or other packagers like Talamore or Tobacco Road should sort it out.
  2. Using pool noodle here, works great. Local rule in our games, if ball touches the noodle and bounces out, ball considered holed out. No rakes in bunkers, no pins on practice greens, everybody in individual carts or walking, online check in only, pro shop closed, 1 entry, 1 exit to restroom, bet money is Clorex or Lysol wiped, we just sits in our carts after with individual coolers, 1 case in the entire county. Based on current events, we might need to resurrect the ATMG meet up this summer.
  3. Wow! Better than most years, so I'll just shut up. Well maybe not. Nice the AM and Senior are north of US10, but go back say 10 years, they never have qualifiers or tournament sites out state for average guy {net} events.
  4. GAM should re-name themselves the Southeast Michigan Golf Association. Or the Metro D golf association. 1 qualifier north of Flint/Lansing, and other than the Mid Am there won't be a single tournament north of US10! 7 years as a member of Florida State Golf Association and GAM, FSGA does it better every time.
  5. If you pick West Branch, you can play the Quest. Think you might know somebody with a little "pull" there.
  6. Tour BX, got my hands on 2, two ball prototype sleeves. Best ball ever. The hype is legit. Longer off the driver than MTB X or Pro V1. Plenty of check up spin on greenside shots inside of 50 yds, and the best part, does not overspin on full wedges and short irons. Softer feel than current Tour BX, about the same as Bxs. Feels better off putter than current model.

  8. > @BG5 said: > I loved Greywalls. Tell us how Sage Run is.... heard mixed reviews but I’m sure it’s great. I love Sweetgrass as well Rained out at Sage Run. Greywalls a bit of a disappointment this year, conditioning has slipped more than a little.

Was wore out mentally, that's my excuse and sticking to it. Finished 3rd out of 38 in a 4 day stroke play event {net} the week prior and played a member/guest the weekend prior. Won a skin on #17 Moor course. Discovered a new to me restaurant, Paper Station Bistro in Harbor Springs. Panko/Parmesan crusted perch was outstanding! Only regret is didn't cross paths with 3j to say hello. > > > > > > > Yeah, I half expected to see you at Teddy Griffin's again -- with your division on the opposite courses each day, and the shotgun on the second day, it was not conducive to that happening. We need to make plans next year to at least make a point of grabbing a beer at some point. > > > > > > > > Should play in the fall before he heads to Florida. I’ve been wanting to play Meadowbrook before the season is over. > > Would love to make that happen. Count me in!
  10. Sweetgrass yesterday. The more I play this course, the better it gets. It's not gonna knock your socks off with elevation changes or dramatic views, but there is not a bad hole out there and some really good ones mixed in. Plus, it's in private club condition with a way better than most practice area. Stay and play pricing is pretty good as well. Sage Run today, if it stops raining.

  12. Up North begins at M55. Some say US10, they'd be wrong.
  13. Bonus, D1 tournament at Sage Run 9/1 & 9/2. Sparty is there, gonna leave a bit earlier then originally planned and check it out.

Not certain if you're asking about Greywalls or Sweetgrass. If I was doing a top 25, Sweetgrass would be between say 18-25 and Greywalls between 6-10.

Have a great trip, nice lineup. I'll be at Loch Sat., hopefully cross paths to say hello. :)
  20. > @"3 Jack Par" said: > > @Openwater22 said: > > Who's playing in the Mid-Am? > I am, as usual. Spending the weekend beforehand in TC. No golf planned up there in the early part of the trip -- just lots of awesome food and drinks. Are you playing again this year? > Yes, Super Senior division.
