It's the largest gated community in the US (26,000 acres). There are nine courses in the village, all very nice. Diamante is the one private course, and used to host a Nationwide Tour event. Lots of people from California and the Midwest have moved there. It's very secluded but also very affordable. Just very peaceful and relaxing... I love playing golf there!
So....regarding Annbriar...apparently they have a small maintenance issue: http://www.stltoday....a28c631e36.html
While golfing with friends at the Annbriar Golf Course near here Friday, Mihal, 43, a mortgage broker from Creve Coeur, abruptly dropped into the ground on the fairway of the 14th
5. Does this stand for Greater Carolina Amateur Championship?
6. How would you rate the distance of the FG Tour, in relation to other tour-level balls?
7. I attended an indoor Ping demo day last spring, and was able to try the 169D Tour stiff shaft on a 10.5 degree head. It did give me better numbers on the LM that the standard shaft. I've just never been able to demo one on the course. Maybe that would do the trick, because I do find the standard shaft MUCH too whippy.
8. I was able to demo the PIng G20 driver not long ago. I know this club has gotten raves and I think with the proper shaft it would do well for me. I was only able to demo the standard TFC 169D stiff shaft. I was very inconsistent with direction, going either left or right often. My swing speed is 95-100 mph, with a moderate tempo. Any suggestions on an upgraded shaft in this club are appreciated...

New Bridgestones?

I personally love Bridgestone balls, primarily because I think their tires are very good. Not every ball works for me, but they're high quality.
10. I played last weekend, and made it through nine holes before hitting the cart path on my drive at the 10th. Put a good scuff on it. Decided to play another ball because I didn't want to look at the scuff the whole round. But other than the looks, I'd have no trouble continuing to play that ball.
11. Honestly, it seems both white and yellow balls are harder to see this time of year. Not only because of the leaves, but the lower angle of the sun makes them both harder to spot from far away. I do think yellow shows up better on the dormant grass, though.
12. I'm getting really close to putting a K15 driver in my bag. Lately I've been trying hard to clear my hips through impact, which helps a lot, but sometimes leads to a push or small slice. I'd much rather have a club that can help with this, without a closed club face.
13. Nice update on your purchase. I know "southgolf" works as a 10% off code. Not sure if that's one you've aready used.
14. Thanks... that is my goal. One thing I liked about the Tour Edge is the GD AD shaft in it. Wasn't sure how I'd feel about such a lightweight shaft but I think it's a winner. Just taking advantage of the latest technology.
15. After years of long but often wayward drives, I've started dropping my swing speed to one that allows me to hit more fairways (and subsequent greens.) This change in strategy is already paying off in lower scores, so I'm going to stick with it. Thus, my swing speed is now about 95 mph instead of 105. My current driver is a Callaway FT-9 Tour I-MIX, 9.5 with an Axivcore stiff shaft. Although it's a very good driver, I'm wondering if there might be something more appropriate for me now. I demoed the newest Cleveland and Tour Edge drivers this weekend, because my local golf store mentioned they h
16. I'm a 9 handicap and played for the first time in a month yesterday with a yellow e6. Posted a 79, all pars and bogeys. Do I wish it checked more on the greens? Sure. But it felt great and really seemed to make potentially terrible drives, not so terrible. My game right now is to simple swing easy and try to hit greens in regulation. The e6 is a terrific ball for that purpose.
17. You can find plenty of good, forgiving drivers for under $300. The G15 is only $199, for example, if not lower...
18. I believe the inner layer (between core and cover) of the e6 is specifically designed by Bridgestone to reduce side spin. At least that's the intention, and the claim Bridgestone makes on its' website.
19. The Ping G20 does come in a 12* driver... with a shorter shaft, might that work?
20. Yeah, my FT9 driver head is filled with little red specks of gnat guts. That'll teach 'em!
21. Played a yellow Ttileist DT Solo yesterday and had more than a few instances where bugs were buzzing around the ball on my swing. Do they think it's a flower? Probably has something to do with the time of year, but it was distracting. Anyone else notice this?
22. I kind of doubt you're going to see, at least from prominent ball makers, a wider variety of ball colors other than yellow. Those are pretty easy to see, whereas darker colors are tougher to find in the rough.

Well....not all of it. Don't care for white head woods, but I will never say never. I do like my ugly old 2.0 irons. Speaking of ugly.......a buddy of mine was sporting a new set of g20 irons today. Those things are ugly. But, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Ping G line of irons = SHOVELS... the shovliest of shovels I might add... Ugly as sin
They look good to me.
