  1. A few years back I went from 88 mph to 98 mph with the driver in one season. As my swing speed increased, I noticed that I was hitting it more off the toe. I wonder what it is about that type of raw power that makes a golfer hit off the toe? I might have to look into this driver if it comes to retail.
  2. It’s gotta be Bryan Bros Golf. Obviously Wesley isn’t on there as much any more because you know, he’s busy playing on the PGA Tour, but he was very instrumental to the success of the channel for a long time. There might be another golf YouTuber that has gone on to win a PGA Tour event that I've overlooked, but I can't think any off the top of my head.
  3. The 714 had a lower CoG and a CoG more toward the toe compared to the 716, therefore the 714 worked for more of the target market. Mileage will vary, but I would say these two iterations were the most different progression of the line. This difference would lead some to say the 716 is inferior to the 714. To each their own.
  4. For what it’s worth, I’ve heard something similar. I didn’t hear the quad comparison but was told it’s a much better version of skytrak. You won’t find anything online about it because distributors and retailers are still under NDA. I guess time will tell.
  5. 2/27 retail release. Embargo lifts 2/7 if memory serves correct. Might be next week. I don’t even know what day it is anymore. All I know for sure is that my order has been placed.
  6. I’m just waiting on Charlie to go through that Adidas/Callaway teenage phase in a few years.
  7. I get why everyone likes comparing Charlie to his dad but let’s get honest, he didn’t get everything from his dad. Example... I’ve heard his favorite club is a 9 iron. He definitely got that from his mom.
  8. Do you play it as well? Or do you play the new V1 instead?
  9. Been thinking about trying this shaft for my 5 wood. Does anyone have experience with it in higher lofted woods?
  10. How does Davis Love Jr not count? 4 professional wins and played numerous Masters/US Opens/Opens/PGA Championships throughout his career. Sounds like a professional golfer to me. Sure, he had to supplement his playing career with a club pro job, like many others in that era when events didn’t pay what they do today, but that shouldn’t disqualify his professional career. Maybe he wasn’t Ben Hogan, but even Hogan had to work a pro shop job at times.
  11. The course was just renovated by Jack and his team. We re-opened about a year ago. He changed a lot of the greens, some more drastic than others, like #13 and #15, but the complexes are still typical Jack designs. #15 is by far the hardest green complex now. GW greens are usually the hardest of our 6 courses and usually you don’t have to worry about fixing ball marks however we have had some wet weather recently. Still, don’t expect to see these girls sucking things back.
  12. I just got back to the South today from a mission trip in China for the past few months and everything is closed. The flight was empty too. What the heck is going on?
  13. Played the last two days and the courses have been packed. The boomer remover virus hasn’t made a dent in the golf courses around me.
  14. You got that right! Well... except for when the UN talks about climate change prevention. Then it’s okay to tank the world economy.
  15. Depending on how you objectively measure forgiveness, that’s not necessarily the case. For example, the MOI for the T100 is higher than the 716 TMB. The previous AP2 generations had a higher MOI as well when compared to the TMB.
