  1. City, State: Grand Junction, Colorado Handicap: 6.8 Current Driver? Ping G400 LST 8.5 X Do you agree to be part of a GolfWRX member review thread for Cleveland Launcher HB Turbo drivers and add you review, photos, stories and updates? Yes
  2. G 400 is the best yet but the G is a good club. Should be able to pick up either for $200 or less in excellent condition. Both will be a big improvement over the 20.
  3. So long story short I am getting a bit older and losing some yards. I historically have played the Black profile in a 6.5 62g HC version. Bottom line this shaft is getting too hard to " get around" on the 27 hole days so I purchased a 5.5 and 6.0 and tipped each one 1.5". Just for reference I started at 1" and then tipped an additional 1/2. The stiff performed terrible but the 5.5 feels amazing. Just curious how much did I change the overall profile and I would love to hear your thoughts? I have not had a chance to put them on a launch monitor so I don't know what impact it has had on spin etc... Not hitting them farther than when I put a good "move" on the X flex but it does have a noticeable impact on feel. Once again feel is great. I was hoping to get some reduction of spin from the tipping, I know it depends on the overall shaft profile. For those familiar with these shafts please share your thoughts. I have also butt trimmed to play 45".
  4. What is your handicap: 6 Current driver shaft and flex: Hzdrus Black 6.5 62 g Have you tried Ventus before: No Choose your Ventus model (Red or Black): Black Choose your weight and flex: 65X Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos? Yes
  5. I have tried the 6.0 and the 6.0 tipped, for whatever reason it feels and performs worse than either of the others. Playing an LST Ping driver that has been digitally lofted to around 8. Center contact isn't the problem it tends to be more of a dynamic (loft or lack of) problem. Yes I have tested on trackman and shaft lengths are identical. As a follow up I probably used the wrong term when I referred to "kick" what I am really after is a bit more yardage. Trackman testing shows the Hzdrus Black 6.5 is the clear winner in all of the testing but that is a lot of shaft to swing all day. Looking for similiar results but something a little easier on me.
  6. I have been playing a 6.5 HC Hzdrus Black for quite some time, as I am getting a bit older I have been thinking of switching to a 5.5 but tip trimming it 1" or so. Does anyone know how this will affect the overall profile. Would love to have a bit more kick but still maintain tip stiffness and low torque to keep spin down. I have tried them with no tipping and they simply spin too much. Thanks in advance.
  7. Great grips, been using them for years!
  8. Agreed stiff is not stiff across all manufacturers. Might be tipped a bit as well?
  9. Ping G410 LST 3 wood and G410 hybrid. Liking the flat settings.
  10. I did do some elbow exercises which seemed to help. Been ok for a couple of years now but I still have the recoil irons sitting in the garage just in case.
  11. I like them, my only issue with the 0311T is the wider sole.
  12. I had some issues a couple of years back and bought a set of irons shafted with Recoils. Seemed to help the elbow, went back to my C Tapers after things settled down.
  13. P.S. Could also be that mentally you know you have to be precise with the blades and you react.
  14. Thick bottom irons are a bit more difficult for me to game, mental thing I'm sure but it could also be relative to the bounce. Lower bounce, blade type irons tend to work better for me, I could be considered a "picker" of the ball (shallow to no divot) which can come with it's own set of problems. Don't have to EE or lift too much to hit a thin one.
  15. Probably will have to hotmelt, otherwise a great head.
  16. Just received mine yesterday and was able to play 18. Performance was similar to my 400 LST but a touch less spin (small yardage increases) Good comparison as I had played the same course the day before with my 400 LST. The only bothersome thing is the sound, the 400 sounded a lot better IMO, back to a loud "ping: sound with the new one. Otherwise great stick and I like the flat setting.
