  1. There will be a lot of 2021 trips already rebooked to 2022. We are on our second rebooking and now planned for next year. I would suggest starting to book now and maybe look later in the year to get past peak season especially with The Open being at TOC.
  2. I was selected to test the Z Star for GolfWrx. The thread is in the Tour and pre release forum. I was very impressed with all aspects of the ball except the ball showed more wear than others and the seam really showed it in less than 18 holes. Pictures included in that thread.
  3. I play with a guy who just got the 425’s and I was surprised to see he had the U and S in 425 but after watching him get up and down all day with them maybe I need to be more open minded. He plays to a 3 but great short game. I know he has a TM high toe 60 but I rarely saw him use it.
  4. I am playing 12 now and only have a small gap between 5 iron and 7 wood once every 3 or 4 rounds. Has made it simpler for me and having 52 and 58 degree wedges make my short game simpler. Handicap has dropped from 8.5 to 6 so pleased so far.
  5. Played another round and still impressed with the ball in all aspects except durability. Here are a couple pictures of the ball and you can see the wear and tear especially on the seam. The balls were played less than 18 holes and I typically do not damage a ball much being a lower spin player unless in a trap.
  6. Played the Z Star again today and performance was really good but started to show the seam durability issue others have stated. Will be posting pics for it but the ball was played less than 18 holes.
  7. Played yesterday and continue to be impressed. Will post some pics of the ball after the round later today. Distance and spin on par with other premium balls. Great feel and sound off all clubs especially around the green. As noted earlier I am noticing a more muted sound off the putter so feels like I need to be more aggressive. I could game the Z Star on a regular basis at this point.
  8. Another 9 in the books with the Z Tar. Sorry no pictures but was a league so couldn’t take the time. Driver: solid distance and sound, not sure if quite as long as the Pro V1 but would just be a couple yards Irons: I am seeing a good mid to high flight and distance about the same as my gamer. I do think slightly less spin on irons which can be an issue as our greens are firm and fast Short game: really really like the Z Star around the greens Good spin on the chips and pitches which is a little surprising as the irons have less spin. This can be goo
  9. I would bet later this year. Inventory in stores is less and seem like some prototypes being played.
  10. This is some very enticing comments. Loved the B330s but have not liked the B Stone as much since then. I am testing the Z Star now and like it much more than expected so really looking forward to more head to head with these two.
  11. First off, thanks to GolfWRX and Srixon for the opportunity! Current handicap is 6.5 and I play at a club in southwest Ohio so I have a very good feel for where my current gamer (Pro V1) goes for distance and the shots I hit with it. Our greens are failry small and quick with a lot of undualtion. My driver SS is around 100-102 and 7 iron is about 155. Not the typcial Wrx 300+ distances!! I selected the Z Star in white. Have done some testing around the practice green and two 9 hole rounds so far. Appearance and Packaging: I know the package doesn't matter but will sta
  12. How are the straps for comfort? I like the size and weight as I carry 99% of the time but not sure about the thinner straps compared to Hoofer Lite.

    Ping Wedges

Wishful thinking but would love for ping to bring the casting back in house at Phoenix.
  14. Maybe at bowling or stock picking!
  15. Would be good to know where you ordered from. Have never had an issue when ordering through pro shop that gets them directly from Titleist and no issues with Bridgestone either.
  16. Just finished rebooking our trip. Was planned for September 2020, then this June now next early May. Waiting on finalizing the last two dates we when their calendars open for next year but the people that workin the reservation groups have been great to work with. We have Old, Castle, Kingsbarns, Carnoustie, Muirfield, North Berwick and Gullane. Have a couple days we can add in a round so might do that.
  17. Maxfli HT 100 Balata it wound Maxfli Revolution. The solid Revolution sucked. The HT was played by a lot of top guys back in the day.
  18. 1. City and State? Dayton, Ohio 2. Handicap? 7 3. What ZX ball do you want to test? Z Star 3. Are you able to test equipment on a golf course with one week of its receipt? Yes 4. Current golf ball? Pro V1 5. What do you look for when buying a new golf ball? Spin, feel, good distance 6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos? Yes
  19. Charlesgwynn...let us know if you’re up for drinking a few pints with four old guys let me know.
  20. Given that chart my 1% hope of our trip happening this June which was already rebooked from last September. Looks like 2022.
  21. I would also add that their lofts may be adjusted regardless of what the number on the club says so they get that gapping perfect.
  22. If you followed that great post that went for years he was affiliated with Ping as a junior and continued even through and after college probably as he was trying either some tops amateur or professional events. That was an all time great post watching his progression through high school and junior golf through college. I think that is why he could get the tour bag.
  23. Tour shaft is also a good option to look at. It fits me well but shafts are personal. It is counter balanced and gets good reviews from TXG.
