  1. I have to agree with all the love for Maltby irons. They are quality products. I had the TS-2s for most of 2019. Had a spell with Pings last year, but am now back to PTMs with KBS Tour S+ that are absolutely incredible. I hope they replace the line with something similar. My only negative is that the +/- 1 degree stated tolerances for lie angle were really off. I had iron heads that were between 2 and 3 degrees upright, which led to a lot of wtf moments. I'm glad I took them into the shop to be checked and adjusted. They went from being listed on the BST to my favorite irons in about 2
  2. I've been following the work that they are doing to rehab the course and it looks really good. I'm afraid you are right and that it won't be such a bargain anymore, but I'll be more than happy to pay extra to see the changes next time I'm down that way. I got a GC for Tobacco Road for Christmas that will bring me back that way sometime this year.
  3. Up for sale are a few extras I have sitting in the office that probably won't get any more use. Price includes shipping to the lower 48. Paypal is [email protected] Not looking for trades on these. Will discount prices if you want more than one. 1) UST Mamiya ATTAS Coool 8 X-Stiff flex - Shaft is tipped 1/2" and measures 41 3/4" from tip to grip butt. G400 tip. $75 OBO 2) UST Mamiya Punch 7 X-Stiff flex - Tipped 1/2" and measures 41 1/4" from tip to grip butt. G410 tip. $75 OBO 3) Mitsubishi Tensei Orange 70 Regular flex - Stock shaft
  4. An even better option is to buy the Nairn Ticket and play both courses for just a little bit more than the cost of playing Nairn alone.
  5. Haha. Good catch. That path would put me somewhere between Macharanish and Machrie.
  6. The more reading I've done on Scotland the more I really want to take a trip for golf, sightseeing and whisky tasting. With that said, I'd take a train to Edinburgh on Day 1 (Friday) and start the 501 quid journey from there. My trek would head up through Stirling to Glencoe and the Isle of Skye. From there I would head west east to Spey Valley, south to Perth and west east again to Dundee/Angus. It would finish in Edinburgh and then a train ride back to London. Enjoy. Courses: Saturday - Killin (25) Sunday - Traigh (23) Monday - Off Day Tuesday - Grantown
  7. Looks like a great trip. This might sound like a stupid question, but do you not get burnt out playing that much golf? Broadstone and Parkstone in Bournemouth are worth a shout. Trevose near St. Enodoc looks really good too.
  8. Thanks. We are staying at a B&B right off the main road between Lahinch and Ennistymon. Sounds like we'll have plenty to choose from for the couple of nights we are there.
  9. If we have enough steam left at the end, we may give it a shot. As of right now, Doonbeg is it, with the Kilkee Cliff walk and Loop Head after we finish.
  10. Up for sale is a used, but well taken care of set of Ping i210 irons. Set includes 5-PW with Project X PXi 6.5 shafts and Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips. They are green dot (2 degrees upright) and -1/4" in length. These were originally purchased in the Spring with Project X LZ shafts and were reshafted with the PXis this summer. Price includes shipping to the lower 48. Paypal is ajg[email protected] $550 OBO or $450 for heads only Feel free to PM with any questions or offers. Thanks. Andy
  11. Fingers crossed that things improve. I would've never thought we'd potentially have to cancel trips scheduled for mid 2021. The original plan was June of this year, glad we didn't end up booking that.
  12. Thanks Chance. I have the Pilot Bar marked down already. I have the Beach Bar in Aughris down as well. Is that the same one? I'll be sure to add O'Looney's. Planning the first trip was really difficult. There are just too many courses that we want to play and not enough time in a week. This will at least get quite a few checked off and get us started on an every other year trip schedule. Looking at Northern Ireland and Inverness/Dornoch for 2023.
