  1. Looks like a great trip. This might sound like a stupid question, but do you not get burnt out playing that much golf? Broadstone and Parkstone in Bournemouth are worth a shout. Trevose near St. Enodoc looks really good too.
  2. Thanks. We are staying at a B&B right off the main road between Lahinch and Ennistymon. Sounds like we'll have plenty to choose from for the couple of nights we are there.
  3. If we have enough steam left at the end, we may give it a shot. As of right now, Doonbeg is it, with the Kilkee Cliff walk and Loop Head after we finish.
  4. Up for sale is a used, but well taken care of set of Ping i210 irons. Set includes 5-PW with Project X PXi 6.5 shafts and Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips. They are green dot (2 degrees upright) and -1/4" in length. These were originally purchased in the Spring with Project X LZ shafts and were reshafted with the PXis this summer. Price includes shipping to the lower 48. Paypal is [email protected] $550 OBO or $450 for heads only Feel free to PM with any questions or offers. Thanks. Andy
  5. Fingers crossed that things improve. I would've never thought we'd potentially have to cancel trips scheduled for mid 2021. The original plan was June of this year, glad we didn't end up booking that.
  6. Thanks Chance. I have the Pilot Bar marked down already. I have the Beach Bar in Aughris down as well. Is that the same one? I'll be sure to add O'Looney's. Planning the first trip was really difficult. There are just too many courses that we want to play and not enough time in a week. This will at least get quite a few checked off and get us started on an every other year trip schedule. Looking at Northern Ireland and Inverness/Dornoch for 2023.
  7. Just wrapped up booking our (my Dad, Uncle, Brother and I) first Ireland golf trip for June 2021 and wanted to share with those that are interested. Booking tee times was pretty easy. I just sent emails to each of the clubs and someone got back to me pretty quickly about setting up times. Accommodations were through Lough Erne Resort and Booking.com. Flight is direct with Aer Lingus from JFK. So here goes: Day 1 - Arrive in Shannon at 6AM, Stay and play at Lough Erne Resort (Faldo Course) Day 2 - See Gleniff Horseshoe & Mullaghmore Head, Play Strandhill (Early PM),
  8. I played Southern Pines on Friday and it was in good shape. The greens were pretty much healed from their last punch. I tee'd off around 1:30PM as a single and didn't run into another golfer until the 16th. SPGC is great value for money golf. Here are some pictures.
  9. Some of the links courses in that area are tougher walks. The Castle Course at Lahinch is a nice flat walk. I didn’t find the Old Course to be overly taxing, but the Castle is definitely much easier on the knees. I stopped at Oughterard outside Galway and it looked like a very nice parkland and not hilly. Front 9 at Connemara is easier on the legs compared to the back. Coyne loved Mulranny on his trek around the island. Carne and Enniscrone are roller coasters and would probably be more than your knees are looking for. The nice thing is they do rent carts if you want to experience thei
  10. My brother and I were talking about that last night. Had we gone this June like originally planned we might be having to cancel. We are still on for the beginning of next June. Walking those links is going to feel even better after this mess.
  11. The Burren, Connemara, Mayo are all incredible. I could spend all summer in that region and be perfectly fine. Look forward to seeing your pix.
  12. Westport, Belmullet or Ballina for the first 2 nights. Sligo for 4 nights and Lahinch for the last night.
  13. Nice. I played Lahinch back in September and it was awesome. My Dad, brother, uncle and I are going next June. We settled on Westport, Carne, Enniscrone, Lough Erne, County Sligo, Strandhill, Donegal and Lahinch.
  14. Are you playing any other courses on your trip?
