  1. Hello - I am looking to increase my swing speed. As I've aged (52), my club head speed has gone from a semi-respectable 100-105, to about 95. My hdcp is a 9, so my game is decent and I don't make any huge mistakes. But, to really keep up with some younger playing partners, I need to get longer. I've looked at the Superspeed system, but their price is a bit steep at $199. Has anyone used or had experience with these other sets? There's one from a company called Detroit Golf Company at $119. Or this one from Unlocked Golf, they have a "kit" that you add to an existing sh
  2. Did anyone else listen to the Tony Finau post rount interview and close their eyes and hear Tiger Woods?
  3. Hey...any Portland, OR golfers on here? I need a 4th to fill a hot deal tee time through Golfnow. Sunday, the 17th at 10:55 am at Stone Creek. I had a couple of maybes, so I booked the foursome. They flaked, so I need a 4th. Cost would be about $41 with cart. Good group, 4, 7, and 9 hdcp. If anyone is interested, message me with your email address. I split it through golfnow and can send you the invite to pay. Thanks, Rob

  5. Nice. Even better, put your keys in the case that your rangefinder has. No way you could forget it then Yeah. That way someone can walk the parking lot with the key fob and take your car while you're in asking the pro shop if they found it.
  6. That may have been the case for that tournament. I swear, every tournament I've watched in the last year has gone over. Then they keep moving the final holes to golf channel and [email protected]
  7. Well funny story as to why there is no 7 iron. Early this season I broke my 9 Iron, so my short game kind of revolved around 8 iron and pw. The goal for this set is to be at 7 clubs, with my gapping I am pretty confident that I can still post good scores. I am a long ball hitter so we shall see how this turns out. Even funnier story: One year I was trying to qualify for the US open. In one of the events my caddie and I get in an argument early in the round as I want to hit driver and go for eagle and he wants me to play it safe and hit my 2 iron. The jerk goes and snaps my driver. So th
  8. Played Heron blue yesterday. A few plugged balls, mostly of the fairway. A few bounces on fairway. Course is playable, a bit muddy in some places. Bunkers are not raked, so I rake my own and drop ball.
  9. Do it more and as you keep getting good results it will look normal. Seriously, your mind can be trained.
  10. How are you west of Pebble. Do you live on a boat? :swoon: I'd say, based on his username, he's on the southern coast of Oregon. Which technically is further west than Pebble. Also, it stays lighter later up here. So, there's that factor also.
  11. New Balance or Sketchers are my current picks for this problem. For me, I need about 2.25" in heel depth to lock my heel in. Luckily, this is equal to the length of my index finger on my right hand. Also, have you tried lacing your shoe differently? Specifically, the top left method in the picture in this article. https://runrepeat.com/top-10-running-shoe-lacing-techniques
  12. Check out your local Salvation Army thrift store. I found a like new Club Glove travel bag for $8.45.
