  1. Ain’t no way that thing is 20 years old. Looks showroom new!
  2. Current Ping has been in bag for 10 years. Was a center shafted Mid(belly) putter that I had chopped down after ban went into effect. It is not going anywhere.
  3. I gotta second this. I consider myself a pretty decent wedge player. Bought a 64 on a whim a few years ago. Bottom line: opening a 60* has the same effect. Learn to do that and you’re fine. No on the 64*.
  4. As is the Rogue SZ. Just sayin....
  5. Your response is VERY much appreciated. I loved the fact that the putter was signed 5 days before Arnie passed away and your wife got to interact with him. Stay well, yourself.
  6. I took a gamble on a 42” Ping Scottsdale Pickemup B mid putter via eBay about 10 years ago. Long story short through trial and error I quickly figured out MY way of anchoring it and where to grip it. The thing was $. I kept in the bag until anchoring was deemed illegal. Retired it to a closet in an old staff bag I won in an outing that rivals Al Czervik’s in size. Then, last winter, I had a thought: I had it cut down to 33 & 3/4” and slapped on a Super Stroke 3.0. The head weighs, according to original specs, 390g. If you saw it in a bargain barrel or at a garage sale you wouldn’t give $20 for it. To me, it is priceless. Would be the LAST club in the bag I would ever get rid of. Anybody else know what I speak of?
  7. I had one. It was a beauty. Not sure why I got rid of it. Oh, wait: I got rid of it because I was a sick club Ho.
  8. The Rogue SZ 3 wood has a feel that I don’t see how it could be improved upon. Put the proper engine in it(stock Even Flow does just fine for me) and that thing kicks like a mule on a short par 4. Seriously nice club.
  9. The Sub Zero 15* checks most boxes for me: looks great, SOLID feel, muted/solid sound, and it is a hammer off a tee. Off the fairway? I have issues. But that’s on me, not the club.
  10. How do you like the R7 TP? I ask because I just bough the TP 5 wood with Diamana 83 Blueboard for $30 used at GG. I couldn’t pass it up. I haven’t been able to hit it yet because of this thing called “Winter” we have. How is your R7 off the deck??
  11. I think they are still having 25% off fairway woods right now.
  12. I think I need to hit the ‘bay and look at some F6 Bafflers.
  13. Update: I want to thank you all for the thoughts and recommendations. So.....I go to Golf Galaxy with a $50 gift card and $50 off $250 coupon ($100 total “in my pocket”) prepared to walk out with something shiny and new. I always go to the Used section first to poke around. Long story short: I walked out with an 17.5* R7 TP with the Diamana 83 Blueboard stiff for......$29.99. I couldn’t pass it up. Almost felt like it was meant to be. It’s in 8/10 shape, has a smaller head(I can’t get along with larger ones off the deck, mental thing), and has the Blueboard, a shaft I always loved. For that price I feel like it’s a worthwhile gamble.
  14. Mizuno JPX EZ Forged. I took a gamble on them and absolutely love them. Short itrons top lines get a little thick but I got over that REAL quick.
  15. Cheap Callaway options; X Hot Pro or X2 Hot Pro in 19*. Both have the faces made with thinner / stronger steel. Heads are fairly compact but can't be adjusted. I also think the higher lofted fairway will be much easier to hit. In general, I'd think 100 mph is fairly boarderline for 13* fairway or 18* hybrid off the deck. Appreciated. The 3 wood is actually 15 degrees and used primarily off the tee, where it’s terrific. The hybrid is great on long par 3’s and off tee on short par 4’s.
