Hard to say. Beams is a Japanese company, could be a collab, could be them hyping a colorway we don't have yet.

I know some people feel like the new 90s are cheap or not as nice as the Am1s but honestly I've been wearing mine as everyday shoes since this god awful winter has kept me off course and I've gotta say, I love them. I feel like the fit is a little better (for me at least) over the 1s and they're easier to keep clean than the 2nd gen 1s which were just too high maintenance.

Previous release, AZ90it, were very tough to keep clean but were also a totally different shoe. Those were a mesh, the new Am90s are a lot like the AM1s

Oh no denying what you're saying at all. I've got Nike Golf stuff from forever ago I love and still wear. And you're right about the risk of blending lines and alienating groups. IMO Nike looks at it like "why are we trying to compete with Footjoy or even a brand like Travis Mathew/Cally?" They want to go the classic route and appeal to the traditionalist and Nike is very clearly trending toward the athlete crowd with half of their lineup and the hipster crowd with the rest. I'm a few days late but I picked this up....it's kind of heat TBH. I think, in a lot of cases, Nike is really trying to connect Nike Golf to the current style of Nike clothing instead of leaving it on an island. The line-up has increasingly become a mix of athletic style and hipster/sneaker head options. The inclusion of the Nike polo which isn't an athletic material is a great example. Same goes for all the prints. Plus ppl have gone nuts for street shoe conversions like the 97s, 1s, 90s, 270s etc etc....just makes sense for them to keep blending.

I have a feeling we are going to see a lot of the AZ90it colorways from a few years ago......which isn't a bad thing.

I bought two pairs and I have to say I love the fit in comparison to the AM1g. I have a few pairs of AM1g but the ones that are most comfortable have been some of the limited releases like RealTree and Safari Pack. The Am90 feels a bit wider to me and I don't think it's as narrow in the toe at the 1st gen AM1g. Hoping they look better after wear than the 2nd gen Am1g which just looked so creased and crumpled after only a few wears.
