  1. Ordered a 7 iron shaft today to put into my blank 6 iron I have to see how I will like it. I have played c taper 130x, PX 6.5 and currently play soft stepped 7.0. Loading the shaft is not an issue. But I'm looking for something that is not going to tire me out throughout my round and go lighter. Any of you currently gaming 120x hard step and what are your experiences? Just like any shafts, I know there are love hates. What were your shafts before switching? Were you conflicted and went with the 120 TX as they are about 5 grams heavier. I'm gonna give the 6 iron a try anyways, but would
  2. I am extending my set 3/8 of an inch. I know 1/2 in is 3 SWP, so 3/8 should be 2 SWP. I'm going from grips that are 46.5 grams to 52 grams to help offset the swing weight. How many grams of lead tape would I need to slap on the butt end under the grip to get back close to original weight? Shafts are project x 7.0 soft stepped, so a little more shaft was butt cut to begin with. They are built to D5 SW. Not to worried about added static weight. I'm thinking just like 3 grams to bring it down to D5.5.
  3. I send my clubs to Will at The Peoples Club. Hes in North Carolina and has worked on my entire set. Great work and quick turn around time.
  4. TM M1 440 9.5 tour issue with Matrix Ozik 7m3 x stiff cut to 44.5 at D5 swing weight. I have used the shaft on multiple heads. Hard for me to take out of the bag.
  5. Just got this back a couple weeks ago. Big shout out to Bastain Milled for getting this done for me.
  6. No one on here has had a surgery done on their neck? And played some decent golf afterwards?
  7. Hello, just like everyone here I love this game and willing to do anything to play. Well I haven't played at all this year. I got rear ended this year before the summer and have pain in my neck and shoulder ever since. Radiating pain that shoots down my arm where I lose all strength. I've had my shoulder checked, and that wasn't it. Started seeing a chiropractor 3 times a week for the past month and a half and nothing. Yesterday I decided to get an MRI. Just as the title, I have a ruptured disc in C6-C7 and bone spurs on C4-C7. I dont want temporary relief and want something that will help imp

  9. I've always had the same issue. C Tapers were okay, but never really fell in love. I started to play project X a few years ago and completely fell in love. I was playing 6.5s, but all my shafts had 5 grams of lead tape on shaft to get the shaft weight up since its 125 grams. Now I ended up going 7.0 soft stepped and it's perfect. The frequency is similar to 6.5s straight in. And trust me, it's not as hard to hit as many people think it is.
  10. I tried doing this on a welded flow neck that I have. I came from a Newport 2 that has about 65 degrees hang and my X5R has about 45. I put heavier weights on the toe to try increasing the hang but only moved it marginally. And then went putting with it, the sweet spot was a mess. COG was changed just felt like crap. I have my putter sent out now to bend from half shaft offset to full shaft offset to increase the hang so it can feel more like a Newport.

Ball flight is low spin and seems to arc better than any shaft I’ve tried for me. I’ve used it in several heads and it just fits my move perfect. I'm with you on this one. I've been playing this shaft for the past 5 or 6 years. I can't take this out of the bag. So smooth and stable. Ball just kicks.

If it was just welded flush to the head instead of a countersunk install you would risk breaking the weld when you try and bend it that much which would put you back at square one. He would definitely be worth contacting though. Thanks for the recommendation. Will be sending out my putter to him this week. Appreciate it.

Currently got to playing Project X 7.0 soft stepped once in my irons. Love the feel of them. Have them playing all the way down to my 50. With my 54 and 58, I have 7.0 7 iron shafts that I also have tipped trimmed 3/8 inch. They are wonderful on full and partial shots, but when I start getting around the green for chips, they feel horrible. Very stiff and no feel. Should I just put 7.0 7 iron shafts straigh
