  1. Looking for the collared ferrules for the T100's. I reshafted this set with the Golfworks .370 Ferrule and they look good but keep coming loose and creeping up the shaft. I have purchased from AP2 collared ferrules from Cell Parts but the collars dont seem to fit into the hosels and would require to much work to turn them down. Golf Galaxy and a few other retailers had no suggestions on where to buy T series ferrules. These are the 59PI .370 Iron ferrules from Golfworks. They required just a quick wipe with acetone and looked OEM.
  2. Left Dash plays exactly the same as the 2015 ProV1x in my opinion. My golf ball rankings are 1) ProV1x LD 2) 2015 ProV1x 3) 2009 B330S
  3. Dear Titleist, Please do not screw up the ProV1x Left Dash!!!!!! Leave it alone. Lower spin, lower flight ProV1x that feels firm. The Ball is a Legend.
  4. I had a great round again with the ProV1x LD yesterday. had a few shots that really stuck out in my mind during the round where a par 3 playing 115 and I landed a GW 10 feet past the hole and spun it back 20' but missed the birdie putt. And I drove the green on the last 2 par 4's that played 366 Dog Leg right and 294 Straight on. I play this course 30 times a year and have never driven the greens with any other driver/ball combo. TS3 with Rogue Silver 60X and Left Dash will be in the bag for quite some time. I agree with many others who said if you like the performance of the AVX but dont like the feel then the LD is worth trying. It retains all the positive qualities of the ProV1x but for me it got rid of the excessive spin and launches flatter.
  5. Rogue 110 Silver X Flex is my perfect shaft. Driver speed is 107-111mph and I like the smooth power this shaft delivers. When I need to really take a lash at the ball I want the shaft to stay linear with my power output. The last 6 rounds I was using the HZRDUS Smoke in a 6.0 and I had to really dial back the power and focus on my Tempo. If I was in sync with the shaft I was producing some of the longest drives I have ever produced. If I varied my tempo I was getting into all kinds of problems from topping the ball to some crazy snap hooks. I play 6.0 PX shafts in my irons and love them but 6.0 in the driver shaft I was very inconsistent. I have owned the Rogue Silver 125 but liked the feel of the 110 series better. I also find the grip is a huge influencer on feel of the driver. Rouge Silver 110 X-Flex with the GP Multi-compound with single wrap is perfection for me but play S-Techs with 2 wraps on the bottom hand on all my irons. But for sure, linear power delivery I think is key. I don't want to get halfway in my swing and feel the clubhead disappear because I added more power or changed my tempo.
  6. Find a spot where you can hit your gamer ball on the course to 100 yards. Drop the Mevo down and hit 5 or so balls to 100 yards and adjust the elevation setting until its very close to exact numbers. I have actually set my bag down and walk back 100 yards and lasered my bag. Pittsburgh is 1200' in elevation but I had to put it on 3800' and its dead on now with my ProV1x LD balls. Normal range balls are normally 10 yards shorter. I have one 168 yard Par3 at my course that I hit 2 sleeves of balls into it with the Mevo and my 7 iron. I feel its very accurate comparing it with the laser. Hope this helps.
  7. ProV1x left Dash is perfect for AVX players who want a firmer ball with more green side spin.
  8. I had another great round yesterday with the left Dash. Shot 3 over and due to bad course management on my part could of been my all time low round of the league. I holed out a wedge from 100 yards and it was a perfect one hop, check, spun back into the cup. Pretty cool to do in front of alot of members of my league. My boss that I play with regularly has always been a Prov1 player was constantly 20-30 yards behind everyone of my drives and was playing 1 club more into the Par 3's. Both of us are AP2 players and you could see the clear advantage with the lower spin ball and lower and flatter trajectory. The LD has the same trajectory as the 2020 Prov1 but it just has less spin with every club other than the wedges. 100 yards in the LD ball is just brilliant. Perfect linear distance control and drop and stop performance. Had 3 holes where is was 55-56 yard approach and was no more than 10' for birdie. More stopping power than an AVX but less than both 2020 ProV1 models. I would say its similar to the TP5X. I actually have to grab a yardage book for the greens and make sure Im attacking these pins correctly. I had two 3 putts where I landed the ball on the high side of the slope and left myself difficult downhill side putts on bumpy greens. After I walked up to the ball I was kicking myself for not being below the hole. The LD combined with a TS3/Smoke is just a monster on firm fairways. Tons of roll out over my TS2/Rogue driver I was previously using. Im seeing more similarities of the 2020 Prov1 and 2019 AVX with the firm feel of the Prov1x. The 2020 ProV1x launches too high and spins too much. I have not found a negative quality of the ball yet other than you cant seem to buy it anywhere.
  9. Shot a career low with my new clubs last Tuesday night. Figured a would share a picture of these new beauties!
  10. If you go to the range or on a slow night on your course, hit some 7 irons and measure the distance with either laser or yardage markers. Change the elevation up until the numbers are almost exactly what you are seeing on the course. The atmospheric conditions can play a role in the distances that you ball carries due to lift and spin. I had to bump mine up 1000' and then the numbers were almost identical to what I see on the course. Or you just dont hit the ball as far as you think you do. We have a Par 3 on my course that sits down in the creek bed and the air is always cool and heavy. Plays 155 on the tee markers and the laser but I hit 9 iron every time even though that is my 140 club. But anyway, Tinker with the elevation setting on the Mevo.
  11. TP5X is one of the longest balls with mid irons and I have seen plenty of shots on the launch monitor around 4700 spin with a 7 iron and thats about 1000 rpm less than the AVX. I normally launch the ball between 20-22* with a 7 iron and any ball thats above 6500 rpm range just kills me with any kind of wind. Ap2's even with PX shaft seem to suit well with any low spin ball. The Left Dash seems to fall right in the sweet spot of 5500rpm. I would say for anyone playing the 2019 AVX who likes the flight of the ball but want more distance with the driver and firmer feel the LD is the ball for you. In my opinion the Prov1x was always the best feeling ball off the driver until Titleist flip flopped the ProV models. The AVX is one of the best balls off the irons with a combination of distance and spin but one of the worse balls off the driver if you swing over 105 mph. Just mush off the driver and the new 2020 AVX is plain awful off the wedges, Just all over the place on distance control. High launch and High spin has always been my game and I would rank these 3 balls as the top ball for those players 1) ProV1x Left Dash 2) TP5X 3) 2019 AVX
  12. I have played the TS2 since it came out and was a long time 915 D2 player. I always played the Rogue Silver 125 MSI TX shaft and have had alot of success with it. My miss has always been a snap hook which is user error. I have 1 or 2 holes per round where this creeps in and it costs me 3-4 strokes. I just recently purchased a TS3 9.5 to try and knock the spin down just a bit more and was fully planning on keeping the Rogue shaft. My new TS3 came in and I figured I would try it out first with the Hzrdous Smoke 6.0 60g shaft in it before I swapped it out and was floored at the performance of the combo. I spent a few hours on the launch monitor with both clubs and swapping shafts and the TS3 with the Smoke was longer, straighter for me. Consistent 108 mph club head speed vs 105 with the TS2 and Rogue. With the Rogue in the TS3 head the club head speeds were similar but the ball exit speeds were 5-8 mph more with the Smoke. Using impact tape my miss has always been heal side on the TS2 and the same swing with the TS3 puts the impact dead center which of course leads to higher smash factors and gains in ball speed. The TS3 also seems to have a tighter dispersion for me over the TS2. Either way they are both great clubs and you going to have to spend some time on the launch monitor to see what works. If you go for a indoor fitting, make sure you bring your golf ball you play with on the course so you can fine tune it.
  13. I played the ProV1x left dash tonight for the first time in league play and shot my low round of the past 2 years and fewest putts. My observations: Driver: Long, Longer than TP5x, ProV1 and AVX. Launches lower than AVX with less spin and with firm fast fairways I was hitting frozen ropes that held their line with minimal side spin. Irons: Flat piercing trajectory with late down range apex with just a bit more spin than AVX coming into the greens. If you loved the 2009 Prov1x then all I can say is “Its Back”!! Wedges: Nice low trajectory with perfect amount of spin. Its gets aggressive when you need to nip it and can float easily on flop shots. Doesnt feel heavier like the current ProV1x. My wedge game was lethal tonight and found my self playing with great confidence. I found the ball to be extremely linear and no hot wedges that I was fighting with the AVX and no ripsaws into the greens like the Prov1 or TP5 Around the green: Does it all with a good blend of forgiveness. I never had the feeling that my pitches would bite and leave me with long putts. Putting: Easy to judge speed and makes an perfect “tink” noise off of my Squareback 2. After the first 3 holes I felt like I could make everything. Feel: 2009 and 2015 Prov1x. Woo hoo, my 2 favorite balls of all time. Firm but not hard. Off the driver and 3W the energy transfer was ridiculous. Durability: Played 9 holes with no visible damage to the cover. Summary: Low Spin like the AVX off everything but wedges with similar flight but firm feel like the Traditional ProV1x of old. One bad ass ball.
  14. Stopped in Golf Galaxy yesterday to get a new grip for my Scotty Futura. I was browsing the new Scotty's and trying them all out and have always loved the Newports but could just never score well with them. I honestly had no intent on trying the Squareback but after the first 10 footer I jarred I had to look at it and make sure it wasnt a Toulon putter because of the most beautiful noise it made. I have owned a Sonoma Cali edition and way back in the day a Newport Beach with the sound slot. The new Squareback 2 makes a high pitch tink noise that feels like a tuning fork in your hands on true struck putts. If you ever putted with a Toulon putter before Callaway trashed them then you know the feeling. I was making putt after putt and the putter has the most amazing toe flow out of all the current Scotty's. There was only one on the rack and it came home with me. I was putting non stop yesterday and this morning with TP5X, Prov1x and even the AVX and the putter sings when you strike it pure and a soft muted sound on off center strikes to let you know the quality of the strike. So happy they ditched the insert and is a true 303 Stainless putter. Well Done.
  15. Played 9 tonight in my league with the ProV1 and shot my worse round in 2 years through 6 holes. Brutal conditions again being 49* and 15-20mph winds. ProV1 I didnt like any aspect of it. Too much spin and I actually thought it feels firmer then the ProV1x off the irons. I played the AVX the last 3 holes and I am starting to think its shorter off the driver then both models of the Prov’s. The extra club to club and half distance off the irons is the trade off. Reflecting on all 3 balls now the AVX might just stay in the bag. Im going to need a few more rounds to settle in with it.
  16. I have been fudging around with my Driver the past few weeks. Shortened it from 45.5" to 45". I have a weight kit for the TS2 and have been trying to get the feel just right. My 3W and Hybrid are the same Rogue Silver shaft in X with Super Stroke S-Techs and D1 swing weight. My Driver with an S-Tech on it just feels weird at D1 and I can never get comfortable with it. Right now I have the -2G weight in the head, One wrap under a Pure Pro grip and really digging the feel. I tried 4 different grips until I found the tacky feel with a little more narrow grip on it. I honestly never even put it on the scale because its probably something dumb like C2 or something.
  17. Looking back at my Flight scope numbers, The 2020 AVX is on average 2 degrees less launch than the previous years ball hitting into a net. On the course the launch is alot lower but looking at the PGA Trackman data it might actually be inline on where I should be. Yesterday I was 154 yards into a net with no warmup just to test out the AVX and get a benchmark. Im really thinking the spin numbers off the CCE mat are 1-2k rpm higher than what I saw off the grass on Tuesdays round. It was raining off and on so might of been a variable of wet ball/wet club reducing spin. The additional yardage was a added welcome and maybe I need a adjustment period to adapt to the ball. Im going to buy a sleeve of prov1's to compare numbers with. All my golf partners said the same thing, "take the added distance" and adjusted your game to play it.
  18. In my opinion, The 2020 AVX is drastically different ball in the short irons and is a very energetic now. Last years AVX and even the ProV1x never really surprise me and seemed very linear to play. 2020 AVX is like playing with a Superbounce ball now.
  19. Ist round out yesterday for my league and was really having a hard time with my yardages. The new AVX launches really low now comparing it to the 2019 model. I spent the past few weeks hitting balls in the driveway into a net with the Mevo and I had a good idea what my yardages were in a static environment. I was seeing a good 2 clubs longer and good 5-8 degrees less launch on the course. The big problem is the lack of spin with the low launch angle. I found my self on a few holes in the 130 yard range and hit 2 pitching wedges to the back of the greens which lasered 150 yards. One ball checked and the other released off the green. Had another 100 yard approach and hit lob wedge into the green and was still over the flag and 15 yards long leaving me a terrible downhill putt. Last 3 holes I switched to the 2020 Prov1x and my wedge game was restored but the iron shots were towering very high and very spinny and short. One of my last 130 approach shots was with a PW again and was 5 yards short on what I considered a clean strike. Im very conflicted with the AVX because I have played it since it came out and now find it to be unplayable. Its now too soft off the driver, mid irons are explosive to say the least and very long, short irons are too low and not enough spin. I have not played the 2020 Prov1 yet but it maybe the ball I play this year if its a compromise between the AVX and Prov1X. I spent alot of time on the Launch monitor and my 7 iron LA is always around 20 degrees with last years AVX and the 2020 has to be around 16-17 degrees. Crazy long I will say for sure but would have to be in the 4-5k spin from my estimates. Prov1x feels great but doesn't work well with the AP2's in my past experience.
  20. I have played the Almost Golf balls and were pretty good but you cant find them. I have found that these Jugs mini balls go just as far and are a blast to play with. Full driver with 112mph club head speed only goes 80 yards. https://www.amazon.com/Jugs-Bucket-Small-Balls-4-dozen/dp/B001CF3L80/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=jugs+mini+balls&qid=1587572596&sr=8-2
  21. Change it to indoor mode. The Mevo can be close as 4’ to the ball but 8-10’ of ball flight is crucial. A
  22. Titleist MB with X100 and ProV1x. I call this setup the “Johnny Tour Pro” setup. This is what ever golfer aspires to play. I found it to be an instant punch in the face. I suffer from LOFT or Lack of F’n Talent to play this setup but was fun to try. Next was MB with X100 and AVX. This was my best shot and was a nice pure feeling to finally catch one perfect. Could I do it again, probably doubtful. MB with CTaper was a hot mess. Swing feel is just awkward and doest suit me. 718 AP2 with PX 6.0 Shaft and 2020 ProV1x. I play the 716 Ap2 with this shaft so the results were not to surprising. I was more interested in the height and spin with this setup. When I play this on the course I just cant score. Launch Angle is great and good green holding ability. AP2 With PX 6.0 and AVX. Feels good, super consistent with decent ball speed. My smash factor is normally around 1.27 and if im not casting like Babe Winkleman the numbers jump up around 165 yards with my 7 iron. So far this is the front runner. AP2 With x100 and ProV1x. Another setup that gave similar results like the Modus Shaft that I didnt list because I just sucked more with it and no one would care. I could play this setup but there are better options. Last few hits was with my gamer setup. 716 AP2 with PX 6.0. First 3 shots with Prov1X and last 2 were with the 2020 AVX. I have not played a round with the 2020 AVX but it has been beating all contenders. I personally love the AP2 with the AVX and PX shafts. Whats odd is the AVX launches higher for me than the ProV1x. Nice piercing trajectory and good enough spin to hold on soggy Western PA greens. Seems to be the best setup for me. In conclusion it was alot of fun over the past few days testing shafts but Unless a combo really stood out I was most likely not changing. I will be selling the heads and shafts on eBay and let someone else do some testing.
  23. Howard had a spreadsheet template that you can download and print them out. Maybe he will be kind enough to post a download link. I was messing with the settings on the AP2 head and find Im 1* upright with the KBS C-Taper lite shaft and need to be on the flat setting for the Project X shaft. The lie board strikes show Im ok but the face stickers with the line contradict it. So far Im not a fan of the Modus Shaft or the AMT shaft. I love the Project X shaft but the DG 120x is showing about +4 mph on ball speed.
