  1. HMBs and Forged are night and day difference in terms of ball speed. Hit them first and adjust from there. Don't get hung up in a spec sheet. There's a decent chance you may weaken them more to get them same distance as the forged with the same club.

Adjust them to get a distance, not a loft.

  2. Well as much excitement as I had for the Premiers, Footjoy is totally sh*tting the bed on the launch of these. They were slated for Feb 15, then March 1, and now March 15.

Why even publicize a date if you cannot hit it? I have been holding out for some MyJoys but with spring essentially here, I am tempted to take a different route.

Keith Mitchell bought a pair of my FootJoy classics off of eBay from me in early January so that he could wear them in hawaii at the Sony open.  He was a Nike guy but he’s sporting very different new logos in 2021

He "was" a Nike guy. He's wearing FJ shoes but clothing doesnt have a distinct brand. He has a decent amount of sponsor logos though. He's probably making more doing that than flying solo with Nike.

I like KM a lot. He was great on the SubPar podcast.

Glad these are coming back out, slept on them at first and then grew to like the look of them. Obviously missed their initial release and could never find my size after the fact.

I did not like to prior ADG's. I was considering trying to get the IV's but now that I see these, I am definitely going with the ADG 3.

  5. Random question here.......

You see a lot of pro's playing practice rounds and ProAms with lightweight stand bags and then tournament rounds with the big staff bags.

Do they truly drag around multiple bags to every tournament or so they leave them on the tour trucks? Seems like a lot to drag around.

Also, I guess if you are flying private, its a non-issue.

  6. Just watched Faxon do a 3:30 review on Instagram. He said he started testing them in the fall and then spent the next 3 minutes raving about the new box and the arrow.

If that is the most exciting part, looks like I will stock up on last-gen balls.

In shape? He's as average as one gets "shape" wise. If that's in shape, I'm fearful of how lazy people must be to consider JT to be "in shape." He's a 135lb skinny fat dude.

Well, whatever your description of "average" or "skinny-fat" means, he's earned $40M on the course (not including endorsements) with it. My guess is that is slightly more than you have earned.

    He'll be fine.

He's a 135lb, shapeless golfer that is impossible to fit properly because of that. He doesn't move clothing. What he does wear makes the clothing look ill-fitted and unappealing.

Apparently being in shape and not having a gut hanging out is considered shapeless and therefore, does not move clothing?

I guess Tim Herron and Laura Davies must be printing money for their clothing sponsors.

  9. Somewhere in Jupiter, there was a giant RL bond fire over the weekend. No chance you see a horse on him the rest of his career.

If I were him, I wouldn't want any part of RL now or in the future. He gets enough screen time and is likeable enough (minus is college affiliation as I am an Auburn Tiger 🙂 ) that he will have plenty of options. I hope he tears it up this year and somewhere at RL headquarters, there is an accountant keeping track of how financially stupid of a move it was for them to release him. Not only the loss of screen time but overall sales declines. My days of buying RL are done (and I loved the RLX stuff!).

My decision will not put a dent in their earnings but I will use capitalism at its finest to purchase elsewhere.

  10. Im 6'9" and play +2" and 5* upright. Most Ping clubs have weights in them that allow them to adjust swing weights at the factory.

I have never had an issue getting them straight from Ping. If you already have clubs, you can send them in for adjustment if needed.
