  1. I played in the John Deere Classic Wednesday Pro-Am last year. I received the following: -Draw party on Monday night -Played in a scramble at a local private club on Tuesday, then Pro-Am on Wednesday -Dinner/Presentation at Deere HQ with Deere Chairman, Tim Finchem and Harold Varner as speakers (got to meet them, both really cool guys) -$600 Callaway Gift Card -Free pair on Maui Jim Sunglasses (picked from a selection on a tent) -Shoe bag -Player Badge -VIP badges for wife and I for Wed-Sunday -Signed/Framed pictures with Pro-Am team and Pro. All in all, it was an awesome experience! The c
  2. I had a SM C130 Stand bag and loved it. Wanted something a little different after about 4 years so I went with the Ogio 514 RTC. It is awesome. It is basically a cart bag with legs. I would not recommend it if you are walking much but if you want a riding/push cart bag but with legs when you are at the range, Ogio is the way to go. I play oversized grips which is a pain in the butt if it does not have full length dividers. This bag has that so all good!
  3. If that is the case, it means they are over $300 so I will be taking a hard pass.
  4. I agree. The Ashworth Encinitas Wing Tips were one of my favorite golf shoes (and very affordable). The new FJ's have the same feel. I doubt the same price point though.
  5. Anybody know the name and release date for these? Poulter had them on this weekend. I am a sucker for the cap-toe's. I have a couple pairs of MyJoy Icons but $300/pair is a little steep. If these are sub-$200, I am all over them!
  6. Shelta's are the absolute best hat on the market. I have several and play golf, fish, go boating.....everything! It is designed specifically to not flap or fly off in the wind. I can attest that it works!
  7. When I lived in Wisconsin, if I could see grass I would play. Now living in NC, if I cannot comfortably wear shorts, I questions why I am out. A little spoiled to say the least.
  8. Ditto. I refuse to wear them if there are leaves around. Not only do you look stupid with leaves hanging out the side of your shoes, they are very slick. I love the comfort and overall traction when it is dry but the leave a lot to be desired in other conditions.
  9. City, Sate? Charlotte, NCHandicap? 9Current gamer irons? Ping i210Why do you want to test the Sub70 639 forged irons? Looking to go to a forged iron vs cast. I came from Mizuno's and loved them but wanted a little more forgiveness. I got the forgiveness but lost some feel. What set do you want to test (MB, CB, or Combo)? CB or Combo. I do not have the game to go full MB. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and high quality photos? Absolutely Yes!
  10. I had the exact same thing on a pair with BOA. I tried everything and ultimately send them back for a refund. I also have a pair with laces and have never had an issue.
  11. Is the entire toe area white cloth or is it a synthetic leather material. If it is cloth, I will take a hard pass.
  12. I also have the all white saddle galivanters. On one hand, they are the most comfortable golf shoes I have ever owned. On the other hand, they are worst shoes I have ever worn in the fall. Leaves stick to the cleats and either hang out the sides or build up to the point that it is really slick. Today was my first experience playing in the fall and they will be put away until spring. Every hole I felt like I was having to clean out the cleats.
  13. I have the original version of the RBZ Tour Spoon (as well as 2 backups) that are about 10-15 yds shorter than my driver but 2x's as accurate. The original version has a deeper face and is great off the tee. Therefore, I do not carry a driver unless I am playing a >7000yds course which is not often.
  14. My local shop does not have the heads yet. I was about to pull the trigger on the 919 Forged when I saw the HMB's coming. Anyone have insight between feel, distance, forgiveness of the HMB vs 919 Forged?
  15. I played in the John Deere Pro Am this year. It was a ton of fun!
  16. City, State: Charlotte, NC Handicap: 12 What wedge loft? 54 (bent to 53)/58 Current wedges? Mack Daddy Forged Current iron set? Ping G410

Ok, I solved it. It's not Dufner's bag. It is Jovan Rebula. He is an Auburn guy playing this week and also Ernie Els' nephew.
  18. It was posted right after a picture of him putting. With the white stand bag and Auburn towel, I assumed it was. Could be wrong though.

Interesting to see the photos tho
  20. 3 tournaments and 3 entirely different sets and brands of clubs/wedges for Dufner. I can only imagine what his garage looks like. I would just like to get my hands on his National set. War Eagle!
  21. Well, I am not 7’0 but I am 6’9” so closer than most. My irons are +2” and +5* upright. I think getting the lie angle correct is often an overlooked spec for us tall people. I play off an 8.5 hcp and always bring my clubs if I travel. If I have the choice of renting normal clubs or not playing, I usually choose not playing. It just isn’t fun. I play Ping clubs specifically because the offer the maroon dot spec. Never been let down.
