  1. I ran into the same thing about 7 or 8 years ago with some adams heads i purchased. Had shafts and ferrules all ready to go when i realized they were 370. You can get a 10 pack off of ebay for $7 or $8 shipped and have them in 2 or 3 days. I have made shims out of tin cans and they worked well, but its pretty easy to order online. Might even try amazon prime and get them even faster!
  2. Just order a 10 pack of shims and glue them up!

And 6 years from now, it will be remembered as “Fred Couples used to play a 3 wood with a ladies flex shaft”. Bahahahahahahaaha
  4. You might try them with the modus?
  5. > @shellbmb said: > Yes, lots of threads on SF. I too was fit for 785's with SF 110's. Do be aware they tend to swing weight a little on the light side. I emailed Srixon customer service and they will not adjust swingweight on a custom order. Whatever they come out to, that's what you get which was a little disappointing. I'm going to build a set, but am prepared to have to use lead tape to get them back to D2. I have a set that came from srixon and were only around D-0 . Its a bummer srixon wint address the swing weight issue, but tip i added tip weights to get them where i
  6. Pro soft and sensicore both work and i have tried everything. Ultimately...graphite shafts were the only thing that helped eliviate my elbow pain. Prosofts are great and cheap if you are just looking to dampen the vibration a little bit, but if you have an injury or arthritis or tennis elbow it may be time to switch to graphite?
  7. You will lose 6 sw points by cutting off 1 inch. I would just replace the weight that is in the head now with a heavier weight. Some people can have an inch cut off and and not feel that it is lighter and some can def tell. Might hit it a few times before and see if it affects anything, but putting a heavier sole weight is easy.

So thanks for providing that this is the above standard. I would agree. I doubt most of the others (or any)would have offered 25% off the purchase of a new set.

I got a set of Apex Pro irons with $-taper stiff shafts in them. I did not do a fitting since I have historically fit into standard loft, lie and lengths across multiple manufacturers (Ping, TaylorMade, Miura). In the past, I have had success with KBS Tour stiff shafts and most recently have been playing Nippon Modus3 stiff 120 in a Callaway Apex MB head. I called a local club fitter
  10. Lots of counterfeit grips on ebay. If yoy absolutely have to order grips from ebay...def buy from a reputable seller. It use to be easy to check feedback and read the comments about grips being fake, but new sellers are popping up everyday selling the same grips!
  11. > @Nessism said: > The ATW 2.0 long irons feel quite light in my opinion. There is a 10 gram weight difference between the lighter long iron shafts and the heavier short iron shafts. Modus shafts are constant weight. I agree with Nessism. My 4 and 5 felt a little too light with the awt 2.0. Easy fix though. I really like the awt 2.0, but have moved on due to elbow issues.
  12. > @LPSISCO said: > I’m likely to ignore the “what’s the lowest you’ll take?” question. It generally becomes the new starting point for the guy to offer you less. No thanks. I very seldom respond to "whats the lowest you'll take?" question either. Im over selling on the BST. I pretty much try to give my stuff away and still get a ton of lowball offers. There are def some good buyers on here that realize a good deal when they see one, but the cheapskates outnumber the good ones!
  13. > @SwingBlues said: > OP. sorry to hear your problems with PP, thats sucks, $420+ is a lot of money to be locked out for 6 months and it's YOUR money - especially with no clear explanation or letter. > I would be on their case every single day. This is not a credit service from them, it's your freaking money from your sales which they took their commission from already. > > WTF Paypal! Hope you get your $$$ back soon. I am seriously considering another card or service now especially when PP is unhooked from ebay Exactly!
  14. Was there an issue with the the transaction? Was the buyer dis satisfied with the purchase? Ive had paypal freeze $ in my account before. About 10 years ago i sold an odyssey putter on ebay and the guy that bought it was 85 years old and had never used paypal or ebay before. He got uptight when the putter didnt show up 2 days later and called pay pal. Anyway...the putter was shipped the same day he paid and got there on the 3rd day. He got his putter and after about 5-7 days i was able to transfer or spend the money. No clue what could be going on with your weird user agreement violation????
  15. > @rkelso184 said: > As the heading says. How much does our golf gear actually cost. You see Ben Hogan's new driver for sale with a great shaft at litterly half the price of some others. It makes me think what's the actual cost price on a driver, woods or even putters (again these seem so highly priced for what you get) > > Clothing, shoes, accessories it seems non stop. If you compare the cost of our sport against some others (football shoes V golf) shirts can cost up to $100 AU etc > > And before I get called a tight **** I love our sport. Spend thousands a year on
  16. > @Tanner25 said: > Plus size grips seems to be yet another new trend in golf equipment. As I understand, the better players use to add 4 wraps on the bottom hand to help with a hook? Now, it's added for you in the plus grips. What are the advantages for a high capper and a scratch golfer? Anything new feels weird. Is it worth sticking with it? I am digging the new Lamkin Crossline Plus dark gray grip. It looks and feels great. Just a little big and different too. Im like you OP... Just feels weird!!! I recently put the Golf Pride Tour velvet plus 4 grips on everything in the bag and
  17. Pretty sure Nippon has a black modus shaft coming out this week with dif weights to follow!
  18. Did i just download a homemade spreadsheet?

He currently plays irons that have PX 6.0 and these have PX 6.0 so he wont need to reshaft. He will only be bending them if the lie test i mentioned in my reply tells him they are too flat or up right.
  20. > @Nessism said: > I wouldn't bother paying for a fitting. Instead, I'd do some reading up on how to check the lie angles and go play. If for some reason you don't hit the new irons solidly or if the launch and spin don't meet your expectation then that's when you can start studying what to do next. Exactly. I doubt you have a loft and lie machine, but there are a few easy ways to fit yourself for lie. Easiest would be to draw a thick vertical line on some practice balls and after properly warmed up and hitting it the way you normally do...go thru the iron set and hit the balls y
  21. Fluid feels gad extended shafts longer than hi toe and the rubbery plug were supoose to dampen vibration and give a "fluid feel". The hi toe has room to add a small amount of weight. The shaft doesnt extend down any farther than the milled grinds. The ferrule is a little different, but you can find a pretty much perfect fit at Billy Bobs or golf works. Pretty straight forward except for the ferrule!
  22. Could be new "take offs", but if thats the case the seller should have specified. Counterfeit grups somtimes have a chemical smell, but not really a paint thinner smell.

  24. There are over 800 Dicks Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy stores in the US. Lets just say each store has 50(conservative #) forms that are filled out. Now lets say Rory wins??? Do you guys really think Taylormade is going to send out 40,000 $500 m5\m6 drivers???? If you purchase a driver and Rory wins you will be reimbursed. If you dont purchase a driver and Rory wins your name will be entered into a contest to win 1 of a few no purchase necessary prizes! Taylormade would fold like a cheap suit if they had to ship out 40,000 $500 drivers!
  25. > @MocGolfer said: > I ask again in this thread...any idea how they will, assuming Rory wins, treat the winners? We get to order one online to our likes, ie shaft/loft, or do we get a coupon to take to local DSG/GG and see what they have in stock? Thanks You have to purchase the driver first and they will reimburse you the purchase price. If you dont purchase a M5 or M6 from Dicks or GG Before the deadline and send in your info you will be sol. And all that is if Rory wins!
