  1. Costco has reduced the price of the CaddyTek Laser Rangefinder. I have used Lasers for years and have owned just about every brand. Leopold, Bushnell, Callaway. My Costco Caddytek is as good, if not better than any of them. LINK

  4. Back in the 1900's, I drilled a hole in the top of an old Goldwyn driver. Using a funnel, I added sand until I got it to a comfortable heavy weight. I plugged the hole with epoxy. It's worked great for over 20 years.
  5. 1. City, State - Pittsburgh, PA2. Handicap - 83. What do you use for distances on the course? Rangefinder4. If you use a laser rangefinder, what model do you use? Caddytech5. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos? Yes
  6. 0311XF Graphite 5-pw I was on my trip and redirected them to the local Fedex/Office location. I picked them up just before closing on Saturday. Was able to get 1 round in the next day. Without any range time and on literally the first swing with the 5 iron, I won a greenie on the second hole. Playing them to day in my league, so far so good.
  7. Scorecard with lots of circles.
  8. Thanks for the review. I also bit for $89. When they first came out my buddy had a set I've hit them several times and I've been drooling on them since. I bid up several Ebay auctions and never won and I was never gonna pay $250 a club. They were supposed to arrive yesterday, but Fed Ex has held them for 3 days somewhere in Illinois.....Dammit. I have a 5 day out of town golf blast beginning tomorrow and was excited to hit my new sticks.
  9. So my new irons were supposed to arrive yesterday. I leave for a 5 round golf bash tomorrow. Dammit FedEx.
  10. Except the fitting was $50.. Musta missed something.
  11. I like those Callaway triple track lines. My buddy gave me a device that stencils 3 lines. I went to find a picture for this post and ended up buying this set of 4 of them for $7 from Amazon. (includes markers and some tees! ) The Internet, amirite?
  12. All I took from the first posting was the guy needed 10 practice swings.
  13. Update: Got to pull the jacket out of the bag last week during a pop up summer thunderstorm. It was a muggy day. Put the jacket on and it immediately stuck to my arms and neck. It sealed up tight and my body temp quickly and uncomfortably rose 10 degrees. Couldn't wait to take it off. I have played in many, many rainstorms with a few different jackets, none of them felt as uncomfortable as this one did. Of course, your experience may vary. Needless to say, this jacket is one and done. My Zero Restriction is back where it belongs. With only my online order number, no bag, box, tag or receipt, I returned the jacket at my Costco for a no hassle immediate refund. Picked up some bangin' cutting boards. 3 pack $16.
  14. I will say the orange/yellow are easier to see than the blue/yellow.
  15. I've got two 5 putts on my resume'. Both of those had long undulating fast greens involved with horrid first putts. I really HATE those!
  16. With Costco being exactly 5 miles from my driveway (I know this by resetting my trip meter when filling up). My rebates are pretty pretty good. Last year I got about $380 from the membership portion and over $700 from the Visa side. I get the bigger one in March right before the annual Myrtle trip. I'll do a Costco run and get the remainder in cash for the bets and food portion of the travel. "Free" money!
  17. I play in two skins games every week, each game has between 16-30 players. The pots are pretty good. In order to join, you need to play with us for at least 5 rounds to get a base handicap. Rounds 1-5 you're permitted in the greenies only portion. In over 5 years, I can recall one questionable incident with the regulars. Personally, I love playing with something on the line. There is no feeling like standing over a tricky 5 footer knowing you could either win a bunch or at least saw somebody off! Bottom line: If you're concerned that your fellow golf competitors are cheating to win a few sheckles, you gotta find new friends.
  18. This topic came up the other night after the league. The answers and related tales ranged from "man, you're an idiot", to wow. I'm sure this International forum has some impressive stories I'll go first. 13 on a par 4. To help date the tale, I had just unboxed my Wilson Fat Shafts. #1 Decent drive into the fairway left me a 140ish yard second over an abyss. Using my brand new shiny 8 iron I proceed to SHANK #2 into the parallel OB forest, Drop, then SHANK #4, Drop, then SHANK #6, Drop, then Shank #8, say something like "F%#@ these irons", Drop, then punch #10 over the canyon with a 7 wood, chip #11 on, then two putt for my 13. I almost threw away those irons after that round, but ended up playing them for a few more years. In any league round I (we) have many individual bets/Nassaus, one of my stroke bet partners was in the cart with me that day, he was smiling as he was feeding me Srixons....
  19. This. But for some reason that guarantee ticks off many in this thread. Because everything Kirkland comes with the same assurances, they start comparing golf balls to bacon.
  20. Mine arrived via UPS today. first thing I noticed (and liked) was the ultralight weight. It is very packable and will soon be jammed into the foul weather pocket of my bag. I slipped it on and did some air swings. Feels perfect. I ordered a size larger because I may need it to go over cold weather gear. 40% chance of rain tomorrow and I have a round scheduled with the idiots who play in anything tour. I’ll let you know when it first goes to battle (potentially in 24 hours). In any event, for $60, it’s staying in the collection.
  21. Agreed. The servers don't (or at least shouldn't) blink when asking about dish details, including price inquiries. They sometimes get a glazed look when asked if even the simplest dish modification is a choice though.... And good chefs are delighted when given a carte blanche option.
  22. Try saying this: "And how much is the veal"?
  23. Ah, the tee thread has been revived.... Me? I'm a Martini guy (neon pink, if you please). Each round begins with a pink Martini tee and a random par 3 wooden tee in my right pocket. By the end of the round I've usually accumulated 3-7 more abandoned tees and have added them to the collection. Every few weeks, I'll purge the bag of accumulated tees and balls. Balls go in the shag bag (overflow in a bin). Tees go into coffee cans on the golf shelf. Over a season, this amounts to many additional tees. Over the years, we're talking thousands. Since using the Martini for 3-4 years, I've broken two and lost a handful. I've given away many and have converted at least a dozen other players to using them. I bought a bag of the knockoffs from Amazon and although they look identical, they break far easier. I keep a few of those in the bag for giveaways.
