  1. Austin Golf Club beats it as a pure golf club
  2. 1. Fort Worth, TX 2. 6.0 3. Absolutely! Golf is year round in Texas. 4. PXG 0311x 5i; PXG 0211 6i - GW with Mitsubishi MMT 80 Stiff graphite shafts, +0.5 inches, 2 degrees upright. 5. I’m a long hitter but can be an inconsistent ball striker. I look for forgiveness and soft feel in a players iron. I don’t like the bulky game improvement irons that manufacture distance with strong lofts. 6. I will be an active poster as a reviewer.
  3. I think you’ll really enjoy Texas Star and Tierra Verde. Waterchase is also my number 1
  4. I can’t put my finger on it but I don’t love Fossil Creek. But it’s also in good shape right now.
  5. Rockwood is in good shape and a fun track. Waterchase has been the best one I’ve played this year. Southern Oaks is in good shape as well.
  6. I was going to say. My Scotty was just under $300 when I got it my sophomore year of high school in 2003.
  7. I’m 6’3 and have played from standard to +1 inch. I’ve found you just adjust to the height after a few swings. Longer feels more comfortable but it also changes flex a bit and you hit it further.
  8. Haven’t hit the 18, but I had the 24 and it was a beast. I loved it. I had a Steelfiber shaft in it and it flew high and far and was forgiving. Just got new irons through and went with something else due to gapping.
  9. The Callaway rangefinder with slope is only 149.99 after I add it to my cart. I got a $10 coupon from Whole Foods and it’s 20% off after adding to your cart.
  10. I had a speedblade too and I hated it. Flew far off the screws but was dead on misses. I haven’t hit the gapr or srixon. One club I love is the old Adams dhy. They were basically driving irons and the gaprs seems to borrow their tech. The Callaway apex driving irons are really easy to hit and fly well on misses too.
  11. I’ve only been to the range twice and played once but for me the 0211 GW gaps well between my PW and 54

They made a par 3 a lot longer and worked on general maintenance and planted some new grass. They wanted to fix drainage problems. The course won’t change much except the long par 3.
  14. Bump with price drops. PM me if you’re interested! Let’s make a deal.
  15. I got 2 brand new MD4 wedges for $58 a wedge. Looks like the wedge and hybrid sale is over though.
  16. Changing out my wedges. 1) Ping Glide 2.0 Stealth, 56/12 and 60/10 SS Grind, Project X Rifle 6.5. I bought these off the bay, they have serial numbers but I am not sure on loft and lie. The sole of the 60 degree has wear, I tried to capture in pictures. These still have plenty of life left in them. $90 OBO as a pair shipped. If you want to split them up, say $50 shipped. OBO. 2) Maltby LE Forged Wedge with a Recoil F4 (stiff shaft), +1/2 inch and 2 degrees upright, bent weak to 53. I just had this custom built and have only used it for
  17. Waterchase loves to do that on Sunday’s. I played on 8/16 and the greens ate my lunch.
  18. I have the same problem... here’s my bag. Driver (9) - 275 3/4 wood (16.5) - 250 Hybrid (21) - 235 DI 5i (24) - 220 6i (27) - 200 7i (31) - 185 8i (35) - 170 9i (40) - 155 PW (45) - 140 GW (50) - 125 SW (54) - 110 LW (58) - 95 I can’t figure out how to complete my set. Either a strong 3W, a low loft driving iron for windy days, or a ridic 62 degree wedge. Strong lofts in irons these days really throw me off.
  19. Took off Friday and playing the Golfnow hot deal at 9:40am at Southern Oaks. Walking with a push cart.
  20. My pxg 0311x 5 iron (24) carries 225+ and can roll out to 250. Thing is absurd. I was going to get another one in a lower loft but I don’t think I need one. For reference I hit my s55 5 iron around 200. But it was weaker loft than the PXG.
