  1. Did you assemble these at the recommended graphite shafts length? I inquired about these shafts but didn't really want to build them @ the longer length.
  2. Looking to buy CB Pro H 5 iron RH. Shaft not important.
  3. I haven't removed the grip yet but I will report back when I do. I know there are other counter balance shafts on the market but am unfamiliar with how Ping achieves it.
  4. From Pings website: Alta CB Red 55 The next generation of PING's proprietary counter-balanced shaft is lightweight and high-launching while offering more stability and a consistent feel. An eight-gram counterweight in the grip end helps shift the CG higher, allowing for an increase in energy transfer and momentum, resulting in more ball speed and greater forgiveness
  5. Wanting to reduce overall length of my Ping G410 Plus with Alta CB shaft from stock 45 3/4 to 44 3/4. I read the shaft has an 8 gram weight in the grip end. Is this removable or will it be lost when I trim it? Or will I even need the counter balance playing @ the shorter length?
  6. Set of Maltby MMB Black 4-PW iron heads in good used condition. Probably going to regret selling these. Only 100 sets were made. Picked these up from WRX Maltby guru Popeye64. $175 plus shipping cost. Message for shipping.
  7. Popeye what do the Rapid Tapers run? Looking at putting some in a set of 5-PW MMB Blacks or DBMs
  8. Off topic but has anyone ever tried to remove alignment dot from a Maltby wood head? Are they dimpled in or just a paint dot? Maybe a little acetone would remove it?
  9. Looks great. Just wish they would do away with the alignment aid on top. Often wondered if a little acetone would remove it..
  10. Item for sale is a 5-pw set of Project X LZ 5.5 .355 shafts. Shafts length are as follows: 5=36 5/8 6=36 1/8 7=35 5/8 8=35 1/8 9=34 1/2 W=34 1/8 $150 shipped.
  11. Interested in putting graphite shafts in my Maltby dbms.. I have read that they need to be built a half inch longer for swing weight purposes but I'm not really a fan of the longer lengths. I was hoping for a weight around D1. Is there a good way for me to figure out swing weight on my own. I have a scale to measure total weight etc. Also read .370 shafts will be lighter than .355 due to trimming but the .355 are harder to find for a reasonable price. I would like to build one or two to try. Any advice appreciated.
  12. Found a source for used Mizuno demo fitting iron heads.. would there be any known issue of just installing shafts as normal with epoxy in these heads? They have a Allen head screw in backside of hosel. I suppose I could leave that out or maybe cut it flush so it doesn't stick out
