  7. As far as public courses go, you've got Ocotillo, Whirlwind. Southern Dunes in Maricopa isn't too bad a drive from Chandler. They are all troon properties so you get a fairly consistent experience across the board. All of these courses charge to use the practice facilities, including chipping and putting areas. To be fair, both Southern Dunes and Whirlwind have exceptional short game areas compared to most courses. If you're not looking for high-end, Bear Creek is an option for walking. Friendly staff and players.
  8. If you can get a decent deal as a single on one of the Whirlwind courses, that could be worth checking out as well. They are usually in great shape that time of year, and you can't go wrong at Southern Dunes in my opinion.
  9. High chance of getting paired up, but it will probably depend most on what days of the week and what time you are teeing off. If you're going out on a Fr, Sat, Sun morning, expect that you'll be paired up.
  10. Flip a tee or something to decide, I don't think you could go wrong. Our group played them all twice and we all switched favorites throughout our time there.
  11. Before you do it, hopefully you've been able to play a round or two at the new club with some current members to get a feel for everything they offer and the type of members they have. I've had good luck with a similar situation.
  12. I've considered flying allegiant and shipping my clubs by ups or fedex. Has anyone done that and had it work out well for them?
  13. Golo 5, but should have got a Golo 3.
  14. Another +1 on the diamana D+. Has made all the difference in my game to be able to consistently hit fairways. The heavier shaft gives me much better feel of where the club is in my back swing.
  15. It's given me access to ideas and content that have helped my game throughout the years.
