1. Excited for mine to arrive -- I ordered the zx7 in a 5 and 6 iron to match with my current z945s from 7 iron to AW. The reason I went with the zx7s is specifically that Srixon went back to the soles of the z945. Nice to read everyone's thoughts here -- I'll try to report back once they arrive -- could be a number of weeks but it's all snow in these parts so no rush.
2. Yeah - again all of this happened AFTER he got the letter from the USGA - at least he said yesterday. So not really covered in that thread. The video in question is pretty early in the life of the channel - and yes it IS pretty innocent - it really inst a teaching video. The USGA perceived it as that though, hence him switching to teaching - or trying to brand himself as that - which is dubious at best. The issue for me is that now that Youtube has changed it's monetization policy - is the USGA savvy enough to know when you are getting money or not (it's not 'easy' now to find out - or if
3. Right - but youtube has since changed it's monetization policy - which is actually NEW news. I give up - thanks experts of golfwrx. lol

5. This was before he was teaching. He basically ramped up the teaching aspect AFTER they revoked his status. In his case, he didn't seem to care. But in the video in question, he clearly WAS NOT teaching. He was simply explaining what he was working on. It would be no different if you told someone a drill you got from a lesson or a video. The rub is there was ad revenue from Youtube. Will the USGA have stats about who is getting revenue or not, if you say - made a video about your favorite drills and posted it on youtube?
6. I follow Be Better Golf on youtube (as I'm sure a number of ppl on here do as well) and I enjoy the content. In a video post today, Brendon stated that the USGA took away his Am status due to some content on his channel. In some replies to comments asking for details, he stated that they thought he was teaching in one of his videos - where he was simply explaining some drills he was working on. There are a number of college players with Youtube channels, so maybe that's something to be careful about. What with the USGA always talking about "growing the game" - while I understand their si
7.
No, I am not. However, I do feel strongly that Dustin was not obligated to attend the presentation ceremony.
No way - really? Thanks for clearing that up!
8. man, now THIS must have SUCKED ha
9. Deff feel for Dustin and glad to see him do some media on TGC just now - handled it with class) I just would have preferred to see him at the ceremony to be honest - he deserved his spot there and it's something that one should do - as tough as it is - btw Im pretty sure I remember Jack at the ceremony cause I remember them showing it on TV when I watched it but my memory is not the best.
10. Hi all - any word on whether there was a cellphone check in for those taking public transit? I am taking the train from NYC in the early AM for tomorrow's practice round - I don't mind not being able to take it in with me, but I will need it during travel to get my train connections in NJ and in Philly etc. Thanks
11. ha - i just did the same thing but with 2 scratch wedges 53/58 - they looked great and I need new wedges anyways - once i finally get a game in will try to report back to let you know if this impulse buy was worth it - great looking clubs tho!
12. I lived in Spain for a summer and played regularly with quite a few local pros in the BCN area. I remember them all loving Jimenez. He would regularly play the local Spain Tour events when his schedule allowed and, if memory serves, would pick up the lunch tab for all of the young Spanish pros under the age of 25. Class act.
13. PavinsHat, that's cause you went on Monday, as has been referenced earlier in the thread. Thurs - Sun cameras and phones will be either have to be checked in or returned to your car. Cheers
14. Congrats to Poulter. Nice to see him finally get a win stateside.
