1. https://dollardriverclub.com/ Is anyone using this service yet? I couldn't find any threads so I though I would put it out there. I am thinking of trying this out for my son. He wants a new Titleist TS Driver but its not out yet. I thought let's get the 917D2 for 6 months and trade up when it comes out. Too good to be true?

  3. I am still gaming the i and g 5 series and as a 17 hndcp I split my set. Long irons 4-6 are G 5's and 7-PW are i-5's. This set up gives me forgiveness where I need it and a little percision in my short irons. I am a Ping fan and love the new irons and woods but can't pull the trigger yet as I still love my 5's. Also I had them re-tumbled at the factory for only a couple hundred. Awesome. Like brand new!!
  4. Jcigars aren't you friends with Frank Montro? We play together at Prestwick here in Chicago. Frank is getting ready to defend the club championship in a couple of weeks. Qualifying this weekend.

My Adidas belt does the same thing which is why I quit wearing it.
If you like the buckle we can make a strap to work with it. Jimmy
5. $75 is fine if it doesn't bleed These are sweet Thanks

hey guys- This is an old thread I found doing a search I need to revive. As the title states, the ink from my belts is bleeding on to my shorts. Nike shorts, adidas even the cheaper Grand Slam shorts from Kohl's - it doesn't matter - when done with a day on the course there are black marks on the waistline from the ink on the belt. I had a cheap belt so upgraded to a $40 dollar nike belt and it did the same

This has to be happening to others. Is it? I really don't want to go
  7. it really depends on where you are playing and who with. Personally its a big no.
  8. Played a great round today. Finally broke 90 with a solid 86. Each week my club has games that all teeing off prior to 10am can get into. One is a birdie/skin on par two selected par 3's. One is long, over water - undulating green. Tough hole. When no skin is achieved or two or more occur - the money carries over. Yesterday it was playing 210 with pin tucked in back left corner. traps in front left. I finally hit a decent shot off the tee to 14 inches. Then I made the putt!!! Birdie. Now I had to wait to see if anyone matched me. Last group of the day, a 32 handicapper hits a shank right to th
  9. Hey guys- There are two WRXer's, myself and golfchicago that are members of Prestwick CC in south suburban Frankfort. Great track with greens that will light you up. Depending on when you all do this I might be able to swing s round at our place.

    Yes! Putters...
I've tried the Yes putters and didn't mind them at times, and other times I thought they felt like I was hitting a rock (used the same ball)... For a while I thought they felt better than Scotty Cameron putters. I'd like to hear how others felt about these putters... Do you feel they are hard/harsh/clicky?.. Or soft/mushy?
I have had a YES Victoria II for 2 years and put it in the closet for a Scottie Newport and Fastback 1.0. I have putted like crap for a year. Literally missing 10in tap ins. I never blamed the putter
  11.
I have talked to a couple of clubs that are offering good deals on joining. Wondering if anyone knows where the best deals are on joining a Country Club near Chicago.
I am a member at Prestwick County Club in Frankfort, about 45 mins south of the city. We are offering a great incentive now through 4/30. The course is outstanding and competes with any in the area. 3 years ago it was used as a US Open qualifier and Mike Small shot -1 to win. You wouldn't be dissapointed. PM me and I will give you the details.
  12. I'd game this baby for two reasons. 1) RJB is a master at building a perfect putter. Great looking, balanced and it totally performs. 2) He's a local Chicago guy who's factory I drive by daily! I support the hometown and love that RJB has chosen to stay here!
  13. ditto on Club Champions - Willowbrook. By far the best in the area
  14. Will I see a difference?Hey guys- I currently play to a 15 and am looking at the new TM Burner 2.0's. BUT I also hit the 1.0 (on sale now!) and didn't notice much of a difference. With my game will it make a difference which I play? Should I go for the deal and get the 1.0's or get the 2.0's? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance
