  1. No. Outside the boundaries of the course means just that, but often marked. Thought someone should answer that part of your question. I think the definition of boundaries uses a little common sense. A public road, someone's backyard, or a fence along the property can be assumed to be OB without being marked.. Dan The difficulty with that approach, sometimes called heuristic problem solving, is that it produces inconsistent outcomes. We've all seen that common sense too often produces the outcome that's in our own self-interest. Optimal results are achieved by chance. A large group of

  3. The UST website suggests VTS silver in 85x. This worked out very well.
  4. Hi Dan, You'll learn a lot about the rules here. I know I have. One of the first things to learn is to separate real rules from made up rules by people that appear and claim to be knowledgeable but don't know the rules. I'm assuming the posts here about OB are accurate?
  5. Here's the part I need to understand. "Out of bounds is beyond the boundaries of the course or any part of the course marked by the committee" Does means mean unless it's clearly marked with white stakes or signs that it's not OB? Regards, Dan
  6. Is the treed grassy area between two parallel fairways automatically OB off the tee? Even if there's no white stakes? Regards, Dan

  8. Typical request for shaft advice but more in direction of narrowing it down to a few choices. Golfer - 6’4” 300lbs and strong Swingspeed 105mph to 110 at best. Down swing transition - aggressive Tempo - aggressive A hitter Normal ball flight high with high spin from hitting down on the ball. Would like to lower ball flight. Regards, Dan
  9. Bought one off Fleabay but threads stripped right away! Regards, Dan
  10. From what little I understand two drivers can both be a D2 but dramatically different total weights?
  11. Website back up. Looks like an IT issue. Waiting for a response to my email. Regards, Dan
  12. Email and website down. One of my absolute favourite clubfitters. Hopefully, Ken is still in business. Regards, Dan
  13. When I dial up the power to 'maximum' on my long hybrids I get a great ball flight and distance but it results in a pull draw. What are the most common things I can check to get this straightened out? Regards, Dan
  14. Here's an interesting YouTube video that includes testing of the Zelos 7
  15. I see the blended sets around and I'd like to buy a 565/765 set but haven't found where to buy them yet. Regards, Dan
  16. I was at the range a week ago and using one of those entry level golf radars I clocked several 7 irons at 76mph and 140 yards. My 7 iron is a Srixon Z545 at 31 degrees with a 950GH installed at R flex. Is it worth my time to go into a lot more detail here with the thought in mind of trying the Zelos 8? Regards, Dan i tried both the Zelos 7 and 8. For me the 7 was much better 7 iron speed Mid 70s spent a lifetime as a single figure golfer but only rarely threatened par. 8 felt tinny which surprised me as it is heavier than the 7 I use the 7 in stiff soft stepped once ,normall
  17. Here's a quote about the Zelos 8, I was at the range a week ago and using one of those entry level golf radars I clocked several 7 irons at 76mph and 140 yards. 18. Further observation indicates that everything in his bag has a ton of spin on it. He hits down on everything? Regards, Dan No he adds loft to everything A good place to start? Regards, Dan

  20. The only difference longer drives will make is on long Par 5's. Now it's driver, 3 wood. With another 40 yards it might be driver 4 or 5 iron. Regards, Dan
  21. Pretty much a zero percent chance he's launching a ball at 20*. Especially if he's hitting it 280 and not popping it up. Like I said spin is the issue, not launch angle Here's an excessive spin simulation. Doesn't look like the mile high ball flight though. You believe what you want. I don't think you have any perspective or a clue how high 150' is and how high 20* is with a driver. It's literally a pop up. It's the standard launch angle of a 9 iron. 150' would be equivalent of the highest guy on tour or a 15 story skyscraper. Again it's a spin issue. I do this all day everyday.
