  1. I played with an older guy in the Bahamas just recently. He had one of those little suction cups on the end of his putter so he wouldn’t have to bend down each time. And then guess what, had to take a drop after hitting it in one of the many lakes at Bahama Mar and he simply takes a ball and sticks it in the same putter suction cup and drops at knee height! I got a big kick out of it but the guy said he had some old football injuries that won’t allow him to bend more than a cpl inches. Unsure if it’s legal but I would think a drop is a drop.
  2. Let’s face it, when The Golf Channel first started up, Peter Kessler WAS the Golf Channel.
  3. More with the attempted distraction via your accounting issues! My "original claim"? You had to import that "original" from another thread in order to distract us from the issue. I asked you if you would stop with the distortion, and you move to a different type of distortion. That's not nice. So you've bored me with that one, you've squirreled around to the point where I'm satisfied that we both see that your previous claim which I challenged was false. So now to your new issue. If I show you how the Ruling Bodies have made the game “more attractive and accessible to newcomers” wi
  4. Move to Europe! No USGA here. Nor in india, China, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Canada, Thailand, Korea... well, everywhere else you would have no USGA but in USA and Mexico. Just move out and be happy! In every aspect... Ah yes, great suggestion!? I’ve worked/lived/vacationed in each one of those countries you mention but In the end, I love the good ole USofA! Worst for me was living in Switzerland for about 5 years...I don’t think those guys have ever played a round of golf before. Oh wait, kinda like the USGA?
  5. Yes. Glad you asked! That being said, you can pose that same question to JT, Ricky, Tom Watson or a bunch of other pros who love the game but think many of the new rules were ill conceived. Speaking for myself, I absolutely love the game. It’s a big part of my life both on and off the course and I’m a big believer in Harvey Penick’s “if you play golf, you are my friend”” Most if not all of my friends are either golfers or are golf professionals. All of my vacations (Except when wife or kids are in tow) are golf vacations with friends. I also love to both bet and watch the pros. I use Dra
  6. For Sawgrass: I was just addressing your original claim that the USGA was a profit based concern when its clearly not. I was a bit surprised that you don’t seem to know the basics of what it takes to make a business tick. It’s not accounting, but rather common business sense. I stated that the USGA rule changes were all about simplification and speed of play. You seem to think otherwise. Here’s a direct quote from their website and the knuckleheads that run the USGA: “The process to modernize the Rules began in 2012 and was initiated to ensure that the Rules are easier to understand an
  7. If I proved to you that this is untrue, would you stop with the distortion? If you are willing to admit to the fact that you claimed the USGA was a for profit organization when in fact it's a not for profit, then.... I never claimed that the USGA was a for profit organization. I did say that they ran things at "a profit". I had ignored your previous statement as it really wasn't to the point, the point was that they know what they're doing as an organization. In fact, I see that their net assets grew by millions of dollars between 2016 and 2017, as they had between 2015 and 2016. I c
  8. Hammer looking for a nail Seems to have found them. Seems to have been a problem that was overlooked because of worse behaviors on another tour. Yes, wrong tour! Reminded me of my high school wrestling days where one dope would say or do something stupid and coach would say we ALL had to run an extra 2 miles that day. Didn’t make much sense to me then either. Wow, read my post again. Did you think they would make a rule against caddies standing there only for the LPGA tour? Perhaps it was more obvious on the ladies tour but it was an issue on the men's, just not as common. There is abs

  11. I'm sure, in order to simplify the Rules, which pretty much everybody complained about fro time to time, YOU could re-write over 100 years of Rules for a complicated game covering (hopefully) every situation that one could encounter on a golf course and not have a single issue surrounding your re-write. Apparently a couple of hundred guys couldn't do it; but YOU could. Good on ya mate. :good: It's painfully clear you hate the USGA. What did they do to you ? Did you get DQ'd from a USGA tournament for not signing your card ? For peeing into a cup and showing positive for a banned substance

  15. You know, prior to this year I can't recall any caddies helping the pro line up their putt (as some did in lining up a full swing shot). Helping them READ the putt and point out the line, or s pot to roll the ball over, sure; and they STILL CAN. But behind them, lining them up ? Don't recall that happening very much, if at all. Well, the laughing stock of your Swisstraderhaterade98 Tour anyway. And on that Tour you can do whatever you want. ;) Swisstardedhaterade98. Kinda has a nice ring to it! Going to see if I can change my profile name now?
  16. 2 1/2 pages of “clarification” from the USGA over one single rule?? If any rule requires that much clarification, you just know there’s an issue with that rule. Then so awkward to hear the USGA saying “JT, we need to talk”? WTF?? That’s something a father says to a child or an a-hole boss dressing down a subordinate. Obvious the USGA is melting down a bit around bad new rule after bad new rule. Pretty simple: we need new leadership at the USGA.
  17. Plain and simple, PGA tour caddies are not lining up putts which was the original concern of the USGA ruling. USGA with childish tweets to JT and these new “simplified” rules slowly becoming the laughing stock of the pro tour.
  18. Or maybe they will change because the original ruling was about the LPGA, not the PGA. There were close to ZERO incidents of caddies on the tour using caddies to line up shots of players.
  19. Check out this article from USA TODAY: Adam Schenk assessed with 2-stroke penalty for caddie error at Honda Classic https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/golf/2019/03/02/adam-schenk-assessed-with-2stroke-penalty-for-caddie-error/39141025/
  20. I’m the guy who’s thinking you didn’t wear them just once?
  21. Uhm. No one really cares. Tour officials say they do but quite literally no one ever gets penalized, so then who really cares?? As a viewer, i could care less if a professional round of golf takes 5 hours. And for those who think it’s bad for Joe Golfer to see slow play on TV and will mimic the same behavior on their local goat track, that barn has already left the station so no going back to fix that one. Press and media don’t care either.
  22. Why does my super Walmart have 30 registers and only two cashier's one of whom always has their distress light flashing? That one always stumps me. Just for Black Friday sales. That’s the only time someone might go somewhere else if they’re tired of waiting. Otherwise they know people aren’t going anywhere else. The last time I had to wait for a Walmart cashier was about 7 years ago. 8-10 people in line for each of just 3 Cahsiers. I swore that day I’d never do it again and I haven’t. I go only after 10:00 pm at night and I use self checkout for just 2 things: 1. 5 quart jugs o
