  1. In any language, sounds like it pained him greatly to even talk about it. It’s been an emotional roller coaster for this guy this week between defending the Korean guy who flipped off spectators to winning this weekend to addressing whatever the situation he was dealing with in Korea. That’s a lot of stuff!!

This is such a critical component of the whole PM training and I believe one area that’s a bit open to interpretation (is the relax move as a result of hands dropping, squat ala GG motion, softening of wrists, etc) that I think it kinda gets lost in the sauce and there’s not as much focus as I believe there should be with this part of the swing. > &g

I am starting to believe that there’s no real advantage to hitting balls w The PM on and may actually be a deterrent. I got VERY frustrated w trying to hit balls w it and I’m a decent ball striker.
  4. One suggestion to Martin and the PM guys: I believe PM users would benefit from a protocol that focuses JUST on the transition from “restrict to relax”. So for myself, I’ve started to do a drill in slow mo where I go from the top of the backswin

Im actually a decent ball striker to begin with but w the PM on, i basically crash into the ball, ball goes dead left and literally a worm burner. 8. So, I just did my first session in a simulator with the PM (one week thus far of drills at home) and here are some causal observations: The bad: 1) Hitting a ball with the PM on was no small feat. Basically crashed into the ball and went dead left and a bit of a worm burner. To be fair, I didn’t put the ball on a tee as they suggest, because the sim only had driver tees, but was a bit disappointed in not really being able to hit the ball. 2) Still struggling a bit with the “relax” segment of the swing, which is basically shallowing the club. Still not sure if I’m doing this move correct

  10. > @Millbrook said: > Swiss Trader wouldn't that stop the sliding function if you had to put it though the loops on your pants? True with current design but they could redesign something that allows the slide to snap on/off. I feel like I’m wearing a weight lifters belt!
  11. I think next gen of the PM should be an actual belt, not a belt that goes over your belt.
  12. One area that’s a bit open to interpretation in my view is the start of the down swing where you feel some slack in the cable, aka the “Relax the band” segment. . In some cases, I’ve seen a very subtle drop of the wrists to get the shaft to shallow and in other cases, I’ve seen a Sergio like literally laying down the shaft to be parallel to the ground as part of the move. Two very different moves and feels. I think it’s a bit nebulous, because in all other positions, the bands force you into certain positions, but the “Relax” part of the swing can be interpreted in a variety of ways.. W

He has one of the best, most consistent swings I’ve seen and it’s refreshing to know that even someone like him who hits the ball a fricking mile has faults. The video was really interesting to watch. > > Yes, saw that one earlier. Also amazed that someone at his level could find even more improvement in his swing after just mins on the PM.

Just give it some time and there will be more than a few on eBay...don’t get me wrong, I think this thing is terrific but there will be a few that think otherwise and get buyers remorse
  15. > @"i*windows" said: > I found these two videos, which are excellent > > > > Great find! Three things l like about these videos: 1) First time I get the whole “relax the band’ move on backswing and the shallowing of the club when he says “just soften the wrists”. That was an aha moment for me in that I was never quite sure whether it was a move that required moving the arms, or laying down the shaft, or squatting down or something else. People just saying ”relax the band” wasn’t doing it for me....soften the wrists did. 2) I like his French Fry/Pizza a

Its excellent, love the feel I get when my wrists start to cock on the backswing, it forces me up, I've never felt that before. On the follow through it forces me to push the club away and get some extension, normally my left arm is stuck to my body. 30 reps a day over the winter will help enormously. I haven't hit a ball yet, and for what I want it for I may not even need to. If you buy or make your own I don't think you will be disappointed. Hmmm....but I don’t think about wrist cock at all with my PM.
  17. Unsure if this was posted before, but an early days video of an actual lesson w Martin Chuck using the PM. For me, it brought a lot of aha moments to light around certain feels w the PM and I thought it was cool because the guy getting the instruction could easily be one of us vs the professional sanitized videos on the website. Just bear in mind that Martin doesn’t start his student with the PM until about 12:00. Enjoy.

  19. What are you guys doing after Day 7....I’m just not clear if we should keep doing full swings, coupled with power bands from now on or go back to Day One vids.

  21. Can’t hate on the people doing home made prototypes! For me it’s just so much easier to pay for the real McCoy, just like I can’t see myself buying fake Prada or Chanel for the wife even though it looks close to the real deal. I believe you pay people for their intellectual property and the patents, but to each his/her own. Separate note: wondering why they made both the short band and the longer band the same color?? Makes it a bit tough to figure out which band they’re using in the protocols unless they say which band is in use. A couple times I grabbed the long band thinking it was

I believe #3 is more critical than I originally realized due to the wrist angles you are working through to hit your finishing positions. I tend to treat the finish as an after thought which is a mistake. I am so caught up in getting the backswing and initial downswing right that I often screw up the follow up position.
  23. I’m about to complete Day 7 protocol but there’s not much direction about what happens post the 7 days. Are you guys just starting over from Day One or just keep practicing full swing motions. A bit weird for me that I couldn’t find anything more specific about what happens after Day 7 unless I missed something.
