  1. I play with guys that are silverback gorilla sized so whether or not they wear soft spikes is not really the question. You have some guy that weighs 275 and steps on your line just before you’re about to putt and it will definitely affect your putt.

  3. Is this a new backwoods phenomenon?? I’ve never seen or heard of music being played by golfers and think that I would pull a Animal House John Belushi moment and take that speaker and throw it down on the cart path if I heard music playing on the course.
  4. I love all this macho talk about some guy who touches your headcovers. Just cracks me up. First world problems. p.s. a bunch of Hollywood types drive a Prius and Warren Buffet has lived in his very small house for a zillion years, so not sure I get the connection behind he’s a noob because he drives a certain car.
  5. So you held you temper by having a temper tantrum?? I’m embarrassed for both of you. Grown men acting like 3 year olds.
  6. I’ve recently gotten into the whole concept of manifestation...lots of YouTube videos, etc and been using it mainly around career and life aspirations. So basically, I write down what I want my role/salary to be, visualize myself in the role and constantly think about all this as if it were a fact, not wishful thinking. In the old days, we called this the power of positive thinking, but manifestation seems to take this to a whole new level. I was a big doubter when I first heard about the concept of manifestation, but just for kicks as part of a recent job search, I wrote down exactly what

An 81 as a 13 is probably one of his better rounds of the year I'd imagine...unless this is a really easy course... > > 84 is a differential of about 11. 70.5/131 at 6,200. But the practice sessions this week had far exceeded the sessions the previous weeks were I was hovering around 80, so my expectation
  8. Toe side of the sweet spot? What does that even mean??

Looks like he tried to get too cute with it and made a bad swing with little margin for error. I don’t think it was an open club face situation because I’ve hit this shot many times and I almost never have an open club face. Still a mystery t
  10. Wish I had a buck for every low round that I thought was this some sort of huge epiphany round and I have just figured out the entire game. To be shortly followed by my usual rounds or worse! p.s. make sure that new Honma driver is conforming. Played with an older gentleman last weekend who I’ve played with a few times in the past and he’s suddenly bombing the ball an extra 20 yards. Checked his driver when I got home only to find it was on the nonconforming list?
  11. > @SNIPERBBB said: > Way I read it is they all are kicking in a third of the pros buy-in. Just for clarity, the only guy putting up money for the pro is his playing partner and this was agreed prior to teeing off.
  12. So today the pro from our club joins us for a friendly round and we decide to play a small match with partners. Before we tee off, we all agree that we will cover the pros bet just as a courtesy. Fast forward to end of round and pro and his partner win it. I go to pay my bet to the pro and his partner then says to me “give me the money”. I say “no, pro earned it, our deal was to cover his bet in case he lost”. He argues that the money is his. What say you?
  13. I just did something similar with Callaway and was fortunate enough to have Roger Cleveland himself conduct the clinic. Very educational and Roger is just a great guy all around. Talk was about getting “custom” wedges, but it was more about Roger and the Callaway rep determining which bounce best fit my swing characteristics and then placing an order. Great experience overall and I don’t think many people think all that much about a wedge fitting even though wedges as we all know are key to scoring around the greens.
  14. I had this as well...broken and reset with a plate and screws. Happened in a nasty ski accident but I’ve also learned that the clavicle breaks with very little pressure on it. The fortunate ones heal, but many don’t. You def don’t want to swing a club until it’s 100%. Unfortunately, it’s a long and slow process and you want to make sure you’re doing your PT and get clearance before playing from a doctor.
  15. Heard the expression “pet the grass” with the right hand on downswing a couple weeks ago and just started to incorporate it into my game. I’m sure this subject has come up before but one of the more dramatic swing thoughts I’ve experienced and added a lot to my distance and accuracy. Others out there that use this swing thought?
  16. Messed me up for a big tournament this past weekend! Was hitting it well for first day of tournament and then a buddy says hey, check out this new stretch thing. Did a few reps and couldnt find my swing rest of day.
  17. A chunk, especially w wedges from 100 and under is usually the result of a decel. You must “strike the match”, meaning pitbsome speed into those shorter shots.
  18. Most slow play guys that I’ve encountered can be summed up in one word: SELFISH!! Seen it 100 time and have a buddy who will “slow play” you to death almost like its a strategy for winning matches because what ends up happening with guys like this is that you tend to redirect your focus on you own game strategy to being focused on why the F is this idiot so slow. And it all comes down to being selfish.
