It’s actually a pretty common complaint by lower handicaps to say “unfair that I have to give strokes on a par 3”. That is until they’re paired with that individual in either match play or in a tournament and then it’s all good?

I think it’s poor etiquette but never bothered me all that much over the years when someone did it to me. One of the funniest lines I’ve ever heard on the golf course was as a buddy was lining up his putt and a couple guys start walking off the green and my buddy says “hey fellas, don’t lose interest”. Don’t know why but still cracks me up many years later.

So I’m playing 18 with a guy yesterday and he hits his drive into the water and then proceeds to drop from knee height. Ball bounces/deflects off his shoe and he gets a very decent lie...almost like the equivalent of dropping from an inch or two. A couple holes later, same guy has to take a drop and again and again drops such that his ball hits his shoe first and gets deflected to a near perfect lie. Didn’t want to make any accusations because it was crazy tough for me to determine whether or not his behavior was intentional or not. Wondering what others think about this because at the

Finally found out what is causing me to pull the ball
Swisstrader98 replied to flip flappy's topic in Instruction & Academy
There are a multitude of reasons for a pull and an OTT move/fix is not normally the fix. -
How is this even remotely funny??

Is the M5 / M6 an upgrade over a M2?? Is it worth it?
Swisstrader98 replied to gmacgolfer78's topic in Equipment
Crazy amount of confidence w my M5. Only because I truly believe I can throw just about any swing on that driver and it still long and straight. Feels illegal? -
Is the M5 / M6 an upgrade over a M2?? Is it worth it?
Swisstrader98 replied to gmacgolfer78's topic in Equipment
Played w an M5 demo this weekend and it’s easily the most forgiving club I’ve ever hit. I put some really poor swings on that driver and the ball still traveled and close to dead center in the fairway. -
What is colorway? Is that the same thing as color??

Touching another man’s clubs
Swisstrader98 replied to RobertBaron's topic in Rules of Golf and Etiquette
OMG!! Another man touched your beloved clubs??!! Heavens to Betsy son. You should start a blog about it, put the said incident up on IG with photos, then go to court and sue him for breach of decency. -

The current app option, if allowed, would start at 1600 Euros a month. This does not guarantee it will do everything people want either. Wait! So the reason an app is not being

OK OK OK...I think I have the most elegant solution to what’s ailing us here. Let’s face it, this site is now woefully painful to view and navigate and to be honest fellas, I haven’t seen vast improvements over the past few weeks. THE SOLUTION?: why not go back to using the original WRX app that was super clean and easy to navigate...that sucker actually got 4.5 stars!! Take a gander at screenshots of the app and you tell me what looks more elegant.

Gents: Thoughts on hole in one bets for Masters weekend? I generally bet NO hole in one. Looked at some Masters history as I’m sure the odds makers do and tough to gauge much from that.

For some strange reason, mobile version of the app no longer shows up on home page w WRX logo. It’s now just a back box. Sadly, my usage on this site has dropped pretty dramatically due to the new design. Navigation is consistently a bit rough and just doesn’t have the same flow and ease of use as the old site. So many glitches still remain and still confused as to why an app was never developed. Site looks like something from the early days of the internet.

Followed up a round of 78 ...with a 91 !?
Swisstrader98 replied to J2putts's topic in General Golf Talk
Misery loves company. Just this weekend...Sat shot 82, Sun 97. Big bets on Sun so just about killed me. -
He knows it gets under your skin so a) don’t let it bother you and b) do the same to him each time he lines up for a putt.

Marking your ball on the green - new rules

Paid by Venmo and not received item. Any recourse?

Golden rule; never use Venmo. Zero recourse. -
I hate the "Leaving the flag in" rule
Swisstrader98 replied to jmtbkr's topic in Rules of Golf and Etiquette
The funny part for me this weekend was playing with caddies who weren’t up to date on the rule changes, so they were pulling the flag each time. We had to gently tell him new rule, you can keep the flag in. He initially thought we were just messing with him and still kept pulling it. Then same deal when one of the guys in our group grounds his club in the hazard. Caddie has this look of shock and dismay. I love our caddies but after the round I talked to the pro about all caddies getting a quick tutorial on the new rules.
