  5. I just found a Tensei Pro White to put up against my current gamer Hzrdus Black. I got a Cally adapter on BST and put it on the Pro White. As soon as I put it in the head with the same settings I had always used on the Hzrdus (N, -1) something just didn't look right at address at all. Club face seemed way too closed nad kind of "cocked". I proceeded to hit 6 or 8 low snap hooks before trying a different setting. The club head/face just never looked right and I never found a setting that worked at all with the Pro White. I put the Hzrdus back in and was back to hitting it normal again. I got the adapter off here from someone claiming it was an OEM adapter and it looks to be the same as my other OEM adapter. I thought maybe I got a left handed adapter, but the numbers on the cogs aren't underlined like the left handed adapters. I had it installed by a good club builder who I trust. Do I just need to try another adapter? Have this one re-installed? Anyone have experience or advice on this?
  6. I haven't been out there since October probably, but you are correct that the greens aren't in great shape. It's a shame as they used to be great and that layout is one of the best public courses around Houston.
  7. It's definitely worth what they are charging and a nice addition to the Houston public courses. Close to the city and in decent shape the 4 or 5 times I have played since it re-opened. I would agree that the greens are pretty firm and sand a little soft at the moment, but both of those should get better over time. If you play on weekends, be prepared for the typical slow public course round.
  8. DId you book your spot yet? If not, hurry. they only allow 5 club corp spots a day. I just got it booked this morning on the Champions course. Looking forward to it! Just wondered if I should try to switch over to the Legends course if it's significantly better layout or condition. Played about 2 weeks ago. Greens and tee boxes were good. Most fairways were good, only a few bad spots. We played after all the rain and it was cpo. Wuold say not worth the morning green fee rate but plenty fine for the cart fee only rate. We played the Champions course and enjoyed it. Great info, thanks! We will be playing in the afternoon so my guest will be paying ~$85 inc. cart and just a cart fee for me. It does look like it's supposed to rain a bit next weekend so we may have the same issues, hopefully the weatherman is wrong.
  9. Is it a pretty strong consensus that the La Costa Legends is better than the Champions course? It seems based on the website that the Champions has hosted 37 PGA events and is a little longer and more challenging. I will be playing in about 2 weeks, anyone know what kind of condition La Costa is in right now?
  10. This thread is perfect, heading out to SD next weekend for a golf trip with a buddy and am a Club Corp member. Is the Omni La Costa South called "Champions" on their website?
