  1. Thanks for the referral to Golfworks. I may give these a try as I'd like a more pronounced "reminder" than what is offered by most manufacturers. It also frees me up to use the grip brand and style of my choice which is a huge bonus. Hopefully these are as easy to install as the instructions imply..... The GolfWorks Grip Rib Pack.pdf

I recently ordered an SM7 Raw Hand Ground 62/08 M Grind with "pre-worn leading edge" and "smooth grind lines." I love the wedge and my "club ho" buddies say it's the best wedge they've ever hit. I have to admit, I was reluctant to go the hand ground option (price, price and price), but my wedge continues to exceed my expectations for performance and playability. I have included pic

  4. The guys at Jones are super nice and responsive. You can try calling them. Perhaps they have some new "old stock" available. Obviously, eBay and other similar sites are the next best option(s).
  5. How would you compare KBS tour 120 with Modus 105? I am gaming KBS tours and hit a few shots with 105 but did not like it at all. It felt like if I could not control the club head, probably a weight issue, Tried more extensively Modus 120, just a few grams lighter than KBS Tour, and not a big fan either. I guess in this case is the different profile which I understand is also different to Modus 105 I didn't care for the Nippon 120s and 105s when I first tried them 9 months ago. However, I have the Nippons 120s in stiff in a set of 785s and really like the performance and feel. I don't hav
  6. I had a chance to buy buy some new Z945s (with KBS Tour 120) that had been sitting in my friend's store.....for a while. I've only played a true blade once - MP14s - and that was in the previous century. But, the price was right and I thought the blade lengths of the Z945s looked very playable. Having tungsten in the longer irons was also a bonus. I've only had the irons a few weeks, but I find these clubs are easy (and fun) to hit. I wasn't sure if I'd like the V sole, but it is my favorite feature. The V sole fits me perfectly; the club never digs and I get the prettiest, squarest div
  7. So the Pro v1 is softer...hmmm..the AVX is soft, I play it. I dont play the Pro v1, but now makes ya feel more confused on Titleist's thought process .....just sayin Not sure why they went with AVX versus going with V1A. My conspiracy theory opinion was that Titleist wanted to see if golfers would actually pay premium prices for a yellow golf ball. If the AVX stays around a few cycles, then I'm clearly wrong. I asked the Titleist ball fitting reps about a yellow ProV1 three years ago. They're just so much easier to see in the air at this point in my life (age). The reps said they cou
  8. You obviously know your game much better than I, so YMMV. However, I used to play ALL high bounce wedges. I'm really liking the xlow 58*. Don't discount the mids or lows until youve tried them. +1 - I have been struggling this year with my higher bounce wedges so I bought a 58 X-Low bounce this weekend. Haven't owned a Cleveland wedge in a decade. Went to our short game area this afternoon for a quick test. Initial thoughts are very positive. Great from the sand and easy on chips and pitches. My course conditions are typically firm, including the sand. I was really impressed with t
  9. It literally has “2019 Proto” stamped on the side. I will posted a picture later today when I have my bag. I’m looking forward to the pictures. Pictures added to my original post.

  11. Anyone tested the Titleist 2019 ProV1 Protype ball? I received a sleeve from our pro last week and played the ball over the weekend. Putts and short game shots felt and performed similarly to me; however, the iron and driver performance seemed different in a way I can’t quite describe. Perhaps it launches a little differently or spins a tad more than the current 2017 version; again, I can’t put my finger on it yet. In comparison, I tested the 2017 prototype before it was released and could easily differentiate between the 2015 ball and the current (2017) ball. Would love to hear what oth
  12. I took the bait and emailed the company. Very quick and detailed response to my questions. The customer service guy even gave me shipping info so I could send it to them to do it. Maybe it took a few weeks for them to get the "schtick" down since I emailed them 3 weeks after your post.

    I500s

I received my i500s the day they were released. I order them in the standard loft with the PING/Nippon AWT 2.0 stiff. I've hit a lot of balls and played 5 rounds. Here's my bullet point take thus far: + Minimal offset + Look good to my eye at address + Compact clubhead + Excellent distance - which keeps getting better as my confidence grows + Easy custom fitting system and custom mentality - a PING hallmark 0 Sound is neutral to me - not clanky but not quiet 0 Feel is Neutral to me - not buttery by any stretch but the firm feel and distance combine to create a solid feel 0 Ball flight is
