  1. I've also played around 20 of the Top 100. One that is missing (probably because it is extremely remote) is Black Jack's Crossing @ Lajitas tucked away in SW Texas near Big Bend National Park. Take a look: https://lajitasgolfresort.com/default.aspx?pg=golf&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxZ7j1MW98wIVK2xvBB0ScAYHEAAYASAAEgLSOfD_BwE Reminds me a lot of Wolf Creek in Mesquite. Played BJC several times as my in-laws have a ranch about 45 min from there.
  2. Kuddos for The Bridges GC. Great course - a monster if played from the tips... BTW, I am planning on driving thru that area next week - anyone have any info on the course's conditioning? Worried about the last Winter's freeze and how the course has recovered. Cheers, TK
  3. Played The Tribute 2 weeks ago and it was in great shape. $50 twilight rate. One of my favorite in the Metroplex. Texas Star is another great course. I too will be traveling thru Dallas in 2 weeks. Will definitely try Waterchase GC. Thanks for the info MyCale.
  4. Morning Guys, Up for sale are my Nippon ORA iron shafts. These are Nippon Prototype shafts. The set is 4-PW with brand new MACC Grips. Sergio Garcia and I believe Ian Poulter used this model. They play stiffer than the S logo they wear, but man they are smooth. Mid launch / mid spin, like a tighter Nippon Tour 125 IMO. 4I = 38" 5I = 37.5" 6I = 37" 7I = 36.5" 8I = 36" 9I = 35.5" PW = 35" Measurement is from top of grip to end of shaft. If you like a solid feeling shaft, but without the harsh feeling, these are it. Very smooth - point & shoot. These can be $$$ if they fit your profile. Asking $160 shipped in the USA. Overseas - PM me and we'll talk. Cheers, TK
  5. Hey guys, Played PH in June and it was amazing. Definitely #2 and of course you must play Tobacco Road. But we played #4 and it was just OK. Played 8 and it was great but we loved #9 more. The Jack Nicklaus design was fantastic. I hope you got the dining package because the 3 course meals are delicious. Enjoy bro!
  6. Hey guys, Back from Pinehurst and man - what a golfing trip that was....If you ever get a chance to go - it is worth it. Played #2 (AMAZING), #4 (it was OK) #8 (Awesome) + #9 (fantastic). Of course #2 was the star of the show. Shot 97 - but I probably left about 15 shots on the course due to the turtle-back greens and the waste areas. If you don't land on the correct side of the green, you will roll over and have to hit again. The greens were running at 12 on the Stimp Meter - they were lightning fast. The waste areas...well, if you don't hit it perfectly, you will have the same shot again. Caddies were great and provided excellent information. Also played Tobacco Road GC and that was a story in itself. Great course and a perfect compliment to the Pinehurst trip. All in all a great trip. OK - now I need to sell these to fund my next trip . I have a set of Nippon ORA shafts. 4-PW / Brand new MACC Grips / Very Stiff / Mint Condition These are prototype Nippon shafts that play stiffer than the S logo they wear. They play like an X flex, but man they are smooth. Nippon ORA - Modus version of Super Peening Orange. Mid launch / mid spin, like a tighter tour125 IMO. 4I = 38" 5I = 37.5" 6I = 37" 7I = 36.5" 8I = 36" 9I = 35.5" PW = 35" Measurement is from top of grip to end of shaft. $160 shipped Cheers, TK
  7. Hi Guys, Just got back from Palm Springs and it was awesome. I was able to play PGA West - Mountain Course; Firecliff & Classic Course @ Indian Wells. Mountain Course was nice for the front 9 and then spectacular for the back 9. Firecliff was in awesome shape. Very fast greens and some very nice holes. Classic Course @ IW was our Tournament course and it was in perfect shape. Weather was sunny (!) and 100* everyday.
  8. Never played the Classic Course and it has now piqued my curiosity with all this wind talk. I actually love playing in windy conditions - can anyone elaborate on what I would be facing @ CC?
  9. Definitely WeKoPa - both courses. I would also add Talking Stick North - one of my all time favs in the desert.
  10. We are playing the Indian Wells course for our Conference Tournament. Thx
  11. You have to play American Dunes GC in Grand Haven. This is a 40 min drive from GR and looks to be a candidate for Top New Course in the USA. Designed by Jack Nicklaus & Dan Rooney of Folds of Honor fame. Opens this week I bellieve (May 3rd). Enjoy and give us a review please! TK
  12. Hi guys, In Palm springs, CA next week for 5 days (work), but will get a chance to play twice - maybe 3 times. Our Conference Tournament is on the Celebrity Course @ Hyatt Indian Wells. Was looking to play one of the PGA West courses and maybe FireCliff @ Desert Willow. Any other choices you would recommend? Cheers, TK
  13. Definitely play 36 @ FarmLinks. If I were you, I would spend the night there and play another 18 in the AM. One of the best courses around. Not only in conditioning and layout, but the people there are salt of the earth. 5* all around
